Well Putin is claiming that Russia has a working vaccine and that his daughter has been innoculated with it. Claims it should be able to innoculate someone for two years. They're apparently still doing 'Phase III' trials which typically look for longterm effects but I guess they figured that with whatever method they're using that the risks were negligible enough to offset any fears of harming the boss's daughter.

with Russia you always verify before you trust that said a lot of things are in human trials so it is possible.

From the stance and pattern of blows I'd say that hotel worker has some boxing experience.

I'm impressed at how much he held back though, even when the idiot tried to hit him with the barrier pole he was willing to let him go until the moron turned around and marched up into punching range and started a fight he couldn't win.

If Putin's willing enough to try it on his daughter, may as well try it elsewhere and thank him and Russia afterwards

Though, who knows, it maybe denied by the Far Left who go on and on about "Russian Bots" and "Russian Interference" and this crisis is something they don't want to end

I am still highly doubtful about anything made by RUssia

Eh. So long as the vaccine doesn't actively really hurt people then there's nothing lost from trying, you can always tinker or improve or make a better vaccine later.

In that case (it not causing significant harm) then either it works or it doesn't.

If this was WWII they'd be pulling out all the stops and 'volunteering' soldiers for testing. 😄

All these fuckers going "oh we need another year or more of testing to make fully sure just like with other vaccines!" don't seem to realise that unlike other diseases this one seems to have economies imploding around it and hundreds of millions of peoples lives are being upturned or wrecked so that we can try keep a tiny proportion of the population who are economically mostly useless or even drains, alive for a few more years.

That may sound cold but its the truth.

I mean seriously its not the governments fucking job to keep everyone alive. If that was the case then they'd ban alcohol, tobacco and fatty foods, each one of which kills more people every year than covid-19 ever will. Yet we trash our freedoms and self destruct our economies for this?

I personally am for no restrictions whatsoever, open everything up and let our health systems which have had more than enough time to prepare, deal with it. But failing that we should be rushing to get something that works to stop the spread, and stop our leaders trashing our standards of living in their response.

Vaccines almost always have some degree of risk. They are not 100% safe.
There is also the danger of a false sense of security. "I've had the vaccine, so I'm immune!"
Which isn't necessarily true - the coronavirus family undergoes constant mutation. Vaccines work on the premise that if you've had a disease once and fought it off, you won't come down with it again. So it makes it as if you've had it already.
But we all know that the Common Cold doesn't follow those rules - and guess what virus family that's in?

The common cold is a rhino-virus, not a corona-virus. It's the normal flu that's also a corona-type.

Maybe I misread, but looking again, the wording is a bit unclear in some sources:
Common human coronaviruses, including types 229E, NL63, OC43, and HKU1, usually cause mild to moderate upper-respiratory tract illnesses, like the common cold. Most people get infected with one or more of these viruses at some point in their lives.

The biggest difference is the fever or lack there-of. Both can cause congestion in the lungs.

However, cold's don't cause fevers much, flu's do.

Oh sad... weird how all of these Conservative leaning events get cancelled mere moments by Democrat biased city officials before they start despite weeks of preparation and discussion with local authorities.
