Back 4 Blood beta. game is pretty fun so far. not sure how much I like all the new mechanics though. the perk system is nice in some ways but means that I feel like I start weakened. gear that has levels means I can't hold on to the guns I like and need to swap when I see Higher tier gear. otherwise I really do like the game play and it is a big nostalgia trip playing with friends.

Back 4 Blood is a $60 game, with a Battle Pass, DLC, and MTX's, along with the fact that it was created by the same people as Evolve.... and Evolve was an utter fiasco that had to shut its servers down after like 2 years.

By the way, they intentionally designed Back 4 Blood to be always online, so if its servers shut down...

I would highly caution against buying Back 4 Blood, it'll be a day 1 games pass release anyway, and I wouldn't be surprised if it dies faster than expected.

Anyway....

I finished Modern Warfare 3 today.

Because I enjoy pain, I also finished Frog Detective 2.

Also going to finally try out Breathedge.

Edit: Breathedge decided to crash and I don't feel like troubleshooting, so its Destroy All Humans instead.

Well, I finished Spec Ops The Line.

Then I went and completed the last few main quests for GTA V; though I still have a number of side quests I want to beat, plus collecting all the businesses.

I've played the game and I have no idea what he means either

What were your thoughts on the Willie Pete attack and which ending did you play?

As soon as I saw all those unmoving white dots on the monitor, I knew it was a bunch of civilians. I fired without hesitation anyway.

I was still blown away when we got to the scene, though. Just sat there kinda slack-jawed all the way through to the next enemy encounter. I think its impressive when a story can telegraph an upcoming twist like that, and still have it hit hard.

I don't know which ending, and I don't wanna know. I want to go back and play Spec Ops: The Line again some time and make some different choices.

Have now beaten Ghost of Tsushima. Can confirm, "game of the year" was stolen from it and I think The Ghost himself is now sitting pretty with Norse Kratos, Geralt of Rivia, and 2016 Doom Slayer as one of the iconic heroes of the 8th generation of gaming (but perhaps the only one truly native to it).

Got back into Star Traders: Frontiers now that they've added proper modding support and Steam Workshop integration. And damn the setting of that world continues to draw me in and have me coming up with tiny immersion details to what my ship and crew are doing, even when I'm doing generic quests instead of story missions.

Over the past few weeks since I started school, I've mainly played Danganronpa and Danganronpa 2 (finished the first and about halfway through the second).

I've also been playing Assassins Creed Origins and Mindustry, along with playing through the tech demo MGS V Ground Zeroes.

I recommend Danganronpa and Danganronpa 2 to anyone who likes anime, point and click games, and VNs.

I've returned to Dragon Age Origins after...I don't know. Five or so years? It's honestly a breath of fresh air when all is said and done. Plays up the standard fantasy cliches, but no less fun for all that. If anything, I'd say that's exactly why this game is so fun despite the outdated graphics. It lacks any of the superficial BS clogging up the storytelling of the latest games, and just focuses on telling a story.
