Culture Welcome to Dismal Disney.

Rumour is he's going to hostile takeover Disney.

I'll... fucking laugh if he does. Seriously.
If he isn’t, he at least seems to be doing things in favour of the non-rabidly progressive crowd in Disney.

In all seriousness, if it is something like that, then this is another decisive battle of the Culture War. If the Left were to lose Disney (so soon after Twitter) a huge chunk of their influence would be taken out because those bastards are all about soft power.

Make Mickey Great Again.

Production has begun on Moana 2. What's not being disclosed by Disney marketing is that its being developed by their new studio in Vancouver, Canada instead of their studio in Burbank, California.

Film Threat said:
The new studio has some interesting advantages. Though technically not overseas, Vancouver is close enough to Burbank for corporate oversight. My sources inside Disney describe Malcon Pierce as a talented guy with a good personality who somehow managed to create an equally talented team. He served as an animator on Wreck-It-Ralph, Frozen, and Big Hero 6 and a supervising animator on the original Moana. Also, being in Canada, the team is shielded from the woke SJW nonsense that has infected the animation studios in Burbank. Not verified, but the Vancouver studio appears to be non-union, which poses significant financial and operational advantages.

Well, this is interesting...

In summary, Bob Iger has sold off over 80 percent of his stock in Disney over the past 12 months.

For the record, I am not an expert in Wall Street, stocks or finance, but for someone who's advocating that all is well with Disney and to invest, and is simultaneously fighting a hostile takeover by billionaire activist Nelson Peltz, this probably raises eyebrows.

What was even the last enjoyable thing to come out with Disney's name slapped onto it in recent years? I mean I've heard decent things about the Lorcana card game, and the DuckTales reboot was amazing; but other than that? The company has basically become synonymous with failure.

Star Wars: Andor was pretty snazzy. Then again, when you get the creative minds behind HBO Chernobyl on board, you’re going to get something good out of it.

well, that sucks
Eh, not as much as you'd think. At least now there's going to be a legal way to watch the rest of the franchise, which wouldn't have been possible if it wasn't Disney doing this; as I expect the only reason Harmony Gold didn't try to forever tie the deal up in litigation, is the fact that Disney and their lawyers are much bigger and more dangerous fish than them.

Somehow, I still expect Disney to fuck it up. New woke dub or subs even. Some new way of gatekeeping due to people leaving Western media and going for anime and manga instead.
