Culture Welcome to Dismal Disney.

Surely this is it for Kathleen Kennedy? Star Wars down the toilet, and now Indiana Jones? What should have been two inexhaustible golden gooses are now dead on her watch.

How in God's name does she still have a job?
She might not, actually. If what WDWPro, Midnight edge and some others are reporting.

Supposedly Dial of Destiny was Supposed to be her final act to save herself and if it didn't do good then she was gone.

I mean, he constently reminds us that his sources should be taken with at minimum a teaspoon of salt.

And that there are assholes out there that hate his guts and probably try to feed him false info.
Yeah, and to be fair, he has been right about a lot of things in the past -- it's just like he's a dude looking into a house through its windows, trying to make sense of what's going on inside, and the windows themselves are his semi-reliable sources. He then tries to piece together situations from what semi-reliable info he has.

Meanwhile, everyone else like you and I aren't even on that house's driveway, let alone the street it's on.

Crater is one of the few space based scifi films released so far by a big studio. It cost over fifty million to make.

And a month after it's release exclusively on Disney+ it's been removed from the streaming service likely for tax write-off and denial of residual purposes.

Here's a Twitter thread photobook of the film someone made since it's (legally)! unavailable anywhere else apparently.

Well, at the very least someone is still pushing it heavily, over at Disney. See: RottenTomatoes, where it has an unwavering, impossible-to-alter, never-fluctuating 88% audience score.

They did the same thing with Rise of Skywalker.

It's something they use for the absolute turds that they sank vast amounts of money into, in a last-ditch attempt to fool people into paying for it. But since this one is going 'splat' anyway, if the corporate top really wanted her out, they'd let this thing crash and burn. That's not precisely what's happening, from which I infer that Kennedy must still have some pull.

I have a confession. A friend of mine dragged me to a theater to watch it. he paid for it so whatever. I heard a grand total of 3 mild chuckles from him throughout the movie. there were 8 other people in the theater. they were exceptionally quiet. I walked in having been spoiled but not caring and unwilling to spoil it for my friend. I mostly alternated between mild disappointment and boredom through the movie.

I will say that the woman was super unlikeable but the movie seemed almost aware of it and kinda gave up on making her likeable until the very end where they pretend she had a character arc.

I will also say that while they did do to indie what they do to every old white male legacy character they have and made him depressed, divorced, old, bitter, and all that they didn't seem to go quite as far as they did with Luke.

overall 2/10 some pretty visuals and nostalgic music but still worse than crystal skull. seriously crystal skull was better at passing the torch to Shia LeBuff and that is sad.

This is similar to what my brother said about the movie, although his score would have been higher, a 3.5/10.

I think it says a lot about them that the only way they can think of for someone to grow old is to become a depressed disillusioned bitter old man whose family has become estranged from him and needs a bold young woman to come into his life and tell him how he should be living his life now.

according to a lot of people on Twitter, this IS what growing old is. "Growing old is depressing."
Oh lord millennials and Zers are going to turn into boomers...which means the only places for us will be the nursing home...or Washington 🤢...🤮

with how many Millenials and Zoomers are choosing not to have kids? they better hope they got a big retirement fund to draw off of or they are gonna be fucked when they are old and alone.

So how many Bots and Shill are part of the 'verified reviewers' RT used? Because I am not seeing many long reviews about what they liked or disliked.

Also that the bold young woman seems to fit a certain archetype which could really be seen as a self-insert for KK herself.

Spicy rumor take with a teaspoon of salt.

Basically, the five guys looking into Lucasfilm? They won't allow Lucasfilm people to help them because it would compromise the 'Chain of Custody'. They may have found something.
