About a zillion years ago I was on the staff of a state University here in Washington. There was a dust up over the physical test for fire department trainees. One part of the test required carrying a fire hose up a ladder to a specified height and within a certain amount of time. (I can't remember the exact numbers). A bunch of women complained that the standards were to tough and it was unfair that only men could become firefighters. They filed suit and lost, as the department head said he would be happy to lower the standard as soon as the University lowered its buildings.

This is exactly what should be done.
Lower standards means unqualified personnel means greater likelihood of people dying if something goes wrong.

I am going to point out to you that regs have not stopped Leftist officers from being placed in the DoD and turning our military into a giant woke social experiment, because 'social justice isn't political'.

Or have you forgotten the whole 'White Supremacists are the biggest threat to the nation' shit that was said by one of your higher ups not long ago?

Have you also forgotten the NSC officer who decided to leak the phone call Trump had with the President of Ukraine, that got lauded as a hero by the Left despite lying about what happened on that call. He got political protection this officer never will, because this man is calling out things the new regime want to push, while the NSC officer was just a 'whistleblower' against Orange Man Bad.

The military is not apolitical, not anymore, and the regs muzzling troops are designed to make sure grunts cannot call things like this out unless the political winds are blowing their way.

You do know NSC is not active Duty military right?
And that Active Duty military has a lot stricter rules to follow.

I should point out that regs WILL stop shit from happening. Especially ones put in place to prevent such a thing. IG exists, and is completely outside the normal chain of command. IG even has their own civilian IG if needed, or vice versa. Onealso has the UCMJ to use as their defense.
