Trump's Attempt at Middle East Peace Plan for Palestine and Israel

My fear is eventually Hamas will do something so bad so vile that it will make Israel go full beast mode on them beyond anything that has happened before and effectively eject them from the territory. That region has a history of that happening every few centuries.

Ironically enough that would probally do more to create lasting peace and be better for the people then this forever war.

I wonder what is that Hamas could do for Israel to drop it's restraint, short of dropping nuke on Tel Aviv. Even through the worst of intifada, with almost daily suicide attacks, their response was restrained, despite the massive media spin in the West, which was taking Pallywood embelishments as pure gold.

For much of the middle east when the government screws up, and there's an embarrassment, a coronavirus outbreak, a famine, or the like, the standard get of jail free card is pointing at Israel and screaming: "Those vile dirty Jews did it!"
Like Mossad trained sharks attacking tourists.

Post a live execution video of someone they nabbed from Israel?

Execute American nationals(blonde girl would be best). The US would put extreme pressure on israsel with the threat of doing it ourselves. Voila
So far only Isis was the crazy group that openly did that memorably with a live audience in this time.

If time surprised me once more it would be a pedophile warlord admitting his crimes on live video thinking he's untouchable.

Well, all he has to do is somehow say or explain how holy and just his actions are, say it with great conviction and self delusion and go on about him, his terrorists and Palestinians all being “just” victims taking “justice” into their own hands

And it’s their “fault” for not wearing Hijabs or being of the wrong faith

He would get a following of sorts

That would be worth just a few bombs. Palestinians have suicide bombed weddings and slit throats of babies in the cribs, without Israelis going beast mode, it would take some heavy duty hyperslaughter to convince them to take the gloves off. And EU would probably sanction the over it.

But were their actions recorded on live video to let the public see?

I only know of the man with bloody hands.

You think internet snuff video would be enough for IDF to go full Mongol on Palestinians? They would bomb the perps and their chain of command, they are under incredible international scrutiny and can't allow themselves to be sanctioned.

You may get civvies killed in the process, bad press too.

The Israelites will endure, they've been around for possibly thousands of years

If the media gets ahold of it to make memorable eye catching news but as you said they'd go for a precision strike and make an example.

The United Nations. I wish I was kidding. A huge part of the problem is that the UN peacekeepers run schools to help educate Palestinians, and the education is, well... not sure how long this will stay available, YouTube likes deleting accounts that broadcast these kinds of things.

This whole video can be enlightening but the part about education begins at about 0:50. "Neutral" UN teachers have their first-grade students chant "Palestine is an Arab land from the river to the sea" the way an American class might have the kids chanting "remember to say please and thank you" while teaching manners, then goes on to teach the kids "The Jew is the wolf" and other slurs. It goes in depth into the matter from there.

I'm of the opinion that this is actually one of, possibly the biggest obstacle to peace. The Palestinians act like complete boneheads and keep performing attacks that can't possibly succeed because they've been taught to do so, by the UN, since they were in the first grade and that kind of deep childhood indoctrination is really hard to throw off. Somebody cleaning out the educational system wouldn't fix all the deep systemic issues but in a generation it could produce people willing to actually talk and negotiate.

So this video is fake news. It isn't a UNRWA camp, and most of the people speaking in the film aren't UN staff.

And the way Palestine ends is probably by Israel normalizing relations with other Arab countries, using Iran as a threat, then Israel expelling the Palestinians to one of those countries.

An NBC like attack. When I was stationed in the Sinai before going to Iraq we had a brief about a possible chemical weapons attack along the border. Now it turned out to be a false alarm but man, the Israelis were on heightened alert. And they were not fucking playing.

What Spartan said. If Hamas is stupid enough to do that. No force on Earth could save their asses from the wrath of Isreal. I would be such that even the EU would be scared of Israel by how fierce the counter attack would be.

While a lasting peace sounds nice, I doubt this will be it. I lack the background to actually evaluate the merits of this plan specifically, but any peace plan requires both sides actually want peace, and I don't think the Palestinians do. Sure, their allies in the middle east might not be as firmly in thier corner, but now they've managed to make serious inroads in the west by exploiting the liberal tendency to sympathize with disadvantaged groups (regardless of why said group is disadvantaged), and that's going to fuel thier delusion that they can still win everything.

Yup, that would do it. At least if it succeeds and gets a death toll at very minimum in 2 digits.

But the UN and UNRWA are made up of people, non Palestinians that is. What is their agenda? What is their aim?
Leftist internationalist people. So they have appropriate aims...
First off, they do eagerly subscribe to the underdog victim vs powerful oppressor narrative.
And the rich vs the poor narrative. And in more recent times, the religion of peace vs dreadful islamophobia narrative. Adding this up, it's not an uncommon view in these circles that Palestinians are just pure, innocent victims pushed into nasty terrorist acts through many decades of constant Israeli oppression.

It wont work for one very simple reason the Palastinians are not interested in peace and the Israelis after 30 plus years have more or less given up on it ever happening.
Yup, they aren't interested in peace (with implication of it being acceptance of a compromise based on current day status quo), so uninterested that they have made the struggle against Israel a lasting piece of their national culture, education and identity since decades. The only kind of peace they are interested in is one following a total victory in abovementioned struggle. Which is why even if the treaty was rubberstamped by Fatah, the "struggle" would go on, upticks of terrorism and rocket attacks would still happen, and what realisticly acceptable to Israel details are in the treaty, whether it's 1967 borders specifically, not really, or the current plan, would not have major influence on that.

... Can't believe I'm about to defend the UN. I am on a weird roll in this Forum. First I defend Soros, now the UN? Christ, someone stop me.

Anyway, in defense of the UNRWA, that video posted was fake news, and they don't teach demonizing things to Palestinians.

Even Israel doesn't want the UNRWA to leave. They taught a class on human rights, and used the Holocaust as an example, despite Hamas protests. Also, both UNRWA and the Israel government knows that Hamas is a bunch of crazies, so both accept that in the Gaza Strip, the UNRWA can't really say anything pro-Israel. The former head of the UNRWA John Ging survived two assassinations attempts, and Hamas is constantly trying to block the UNRWA education methods, by trying to force single gender education and threatening staff.

Even if it's not UNRWA specifically deserving blame for doing it, the video is just one of many, many examples where it does happen, and more likely than not, it was supported by some kind of international aid or another.

The biggest gripe with UNRWA is Palestinian's special status as people with inheritable refugee status.

There is one big reason why this isn't happening now or anytime soon, no one will take them. Most westerners may not know that it has already happened on a fairly big scale. In Jordan and Kuwait. They also don't know what happened next...
But the Arab national leaders who would be taking them, they know. No one wants to be third to have a mess like that.

Oh, the education systems lead by Hamas are of course awful and antisemitic. I just don't see UNRWA as a big part of the problem here.

No, I don't think that Arab nations will take them, but without Arab nations supporting Palestine in the UN, the UNRWA's charter can change to allow resettlement, so then the Palestinians could be resettled in a number of countries.
