Transgender Athletes in Sports

Personally, I'd rather not spend the rest of this life in a physical hellscape. I find it funny that the people who think it's not my right to choose whether the world I live in is a hellscape or not, somehow think its their right and choice to decide whether the world I live in is a hellscape or not. that's what ticks me off than anything and I don't see myself letting that go for the foreseeable future. Especially since it rubs me raw every time I think about it. to these people I want to ask, "who made you a god?"

Frankly it'd be refreshing to hear the reply "While you were content living life, I sold my soul for godhood and gave my mind and body to greater ambitions. That is why I have a right to you, you stupid insignificant peasant. I bought your slavery with my mind and soul."

Sure, it's practically satanic and an absolute blasphemous inverse of the gospel, but if these guys are thinking it anyway, they might as well come out and say it. then again maybe these people are so narcissistic they really think their entitled to the rest of us simply because they had the virtue winning the bloodline lottery.

I'm kind of wondering if "Lila" was even trying given the last paragraph of the article. I've seen athletes coast (my kids friends do it.) in events that don't matter.

According to a teammate, Lia Thomas likens herself to Jackie Robinson among other behaviors.

Washington Examiner said:
“She compares herself to Jackie Robinson,” the female swimmer told me. “She said she is like the Jackie Robinson of trans sports.”

“I try not to be around her because the whole situation makes me so mad," the swimmer added. "I don’t think Lia is a bad person. She’s very quiet and kind of introverted ... It’s just really hard for me to respect her at all because of what she’s doing to my team and what she’s doing to women in general and not caring.”

She asserted that Thomas evinces a lack of sincerity and empathy toward teammates.

“She laughs about it and mocks the situation," the female swimmer told me. "Instead of caring or showing that she cares about what she’s doing or what she’s doing to her teammates, she’s not sympathetic or empathetic at all. Lia never addressed our team. She never asked if it was OK. She never asked how we felt. She never tried to explain how she feels. She never has said anything to us as a group. She never addressed anything.”

“All she does is make comments to people like, ‘At least I’m still No. 1 in the country,’ and those kinds of cocky things,” she said. “She doesn’t care how all this is affecting us and how this is affecting our relationship to swimming. She doesn’t care, and it makes it really hard to like her.”

She also described how Thomas failed to follow rules the school implemented specifically for her during a recent training trip in Florida.

“On our last training trip, we were told not to wear Penn gear on our trip to Florida, on the off chance that we would get harassed or anything," she said. "So, everyone went out of their way — now, about 75% of our athletic wardrobe is Penn — we went out of our way to not pack any Penn stuff. Except Lia. Every single day at the airport and at the gym, Lia made sure to wear a big Penn shirt with ‘Penn Swim and Dive’ on it. And she was the only one. We weren’t allowed to wear it because of her, and she did it every day.”

Gee, who'd have thought that a cheating jackass continues to be a jackass.

...Shit like this is lliterally why she isn't.

Jackie Robinson, like so many other "First Integrated Blacks" was chosen carefully, not just for skill, not just for likelihood to succeed in a biased system, but also for the ability to not respond badly when insulted, to be calmly dignified in the face of hate, and to not give the racists any foothold to use to discredit the integration.

Shit like this is why the left is going to see the pendulum swing hard, because they've forgotten how to dampen the damn thing.

At this rate though, it may just swing hard enough to tear free of its pivot, punch a hole through an entire family of six, and imbed itself so deeply into a concrete wall that it'll take a jackhammer to dig it back out again.

I wish African American media outlets would pick up stories of Trans people comparing themselves to civil rights icons. Them doing that really pisses us off. Like my grandmother told me. " They can hide being gay(or trans in this case) but we can't hide being black".

The black community is a proud community and admitting they made a deal with the devil when they linked up with the dems would really hurt the old ego. Expecially when you look at the parties history and you see that this was an obviously bad idea even at the time.

The very racist "one drop rule" comes into play here.

Take this pair of twin sisters, for example:

As far as I'm concerned the only thing you should be able to determine from someone's skin colour is the kind of weather they'd be most comfortable in.

Someone lilly-white who gets sunburn at the drop of a hat will not enjoy being outside all day on sunny day near the equator. Meanwhile, someone with very dark skin will be absolutely miserable in the arctic or antarctic during the dead of winter when there is no sunrise or sunset for at least 24hrs due to a Vitamin D deficiency.

Just a few days after an open letter was released with "broad support" from UPenn's 39 Swim and Dive Team members in support of Transgender swimmer Lia Thomas, another letter has been sent to UPenn's leadership supported by sixteen members of UPenn's Swim and Dive team asking their school to not engage in litigation which would likely support Lia Thomas' full participation in Swimming events in the wake of USA Swimmings revised rules in regards to Transgender athletes competing.

Letter said:
Tuesday, USA Swimming released new “Athlete Inclusion Procedures” shortly after the NCAA acknowledged that each sport should determine how fairness and inclusion were to be accomplished. In particular, we appreciate USAS Guideline’s guiding purpose, to ensure that transgender women competing in the Female competition category “do not have an unfair advantage over their cisgender Female competitors in Elite Events.”

We fully support Lia Thomas in her decision to affirm her gender identity and to transition from a man to a woman. Lia has every right to live her life authentically.

However, we also recognize that when it comes to sports competition, that the biology of sex is a separate issue from someone’s gender identity. Biologically, Lia holds an unfair advantage over competition in the women’s category, as evidenced by her rankings that have bounced from #462 as a male to #1 as a female. If she were to be eligible to compete against us, she could now break Penn, Ivy, and NCAA Women’s Swimming records; feats she could never have done as a male athlete.

The Penn Women’s Swimming Team has over 40 women, but only 18 of us are chosen to compete in the end-of-year culmination of our work: the Ivy Championships. Most important to us is that Lia’s inclusion with unfair biological advantages means that we have lost competitive opportunities. Some of us have lost records. But even those that swim different events than Lia or were not in contention to make the Ivy Championships, we stand by our teammates who have lost out. It has often felt like Penn, our school, our league, and the NCAA did not support us.

The Editor in Chief of Swimming World, John Lohn, has come out highly critical of the NCAA and University of Pennsylvania in handling Lia Thomas' record breaking performances, including going against their previous standards in order to allow Lia Thomas to continue to participate despite her clear advantage due to her transgendered status and says it's a betrayal of women.

Swimming World said:
“The Ivy League reaffirms its unwavering commitment to providing an inclusive environment for all student-athletes while condemning transphobia and discrimination in any form,” said an Ivy League statement release in January. “The league welcomes her participation in the sport of women’s swimming and diving and looks forward to celebrating the success of all of our student-athletes throughout the season.”

Let’s analyze this statement from the Ivy League. If the Ivy League was dedicated to an inclusive environment, it would recognize the concerns of athletes and parents concerned about Thomas’ presence in a women’s sport. It would look at the science and data available and see that Thomas, fueled by male-puberty, has an unfair edge over the opposition. Instead, conference leaders have turned their backs on women, forcing them to compete on an uneven playing field.

Hot take: competitive women's athletics are a joke and always were. Their best are never competitive against the best, and they are a hotbed of leftist sentiment, full of whinging third-stringers who fancy themselves entitled to "equal" pay, attention, and career opportunities.

Watching them get roflstomped by the perverts they support politically is hilarious.

Quite ironic, isn't it? Male privilege is so real that those whom Steve Sailer calls ex-men are rapidly running away from their male privilege in order to compete in women's sports and often engage in lesbian sex as well.

Are you trying to say that there shouldn't even be women's athletics????

Eh. Men's and Women's Gymnastics are focused on pretty different aspects, so, sure, Women would lose hard in Male Gymnastics but so would Men in Female Gymnastics.

Fencing is entirely unisex, and the greatest feat of endurance swimming was a woman.(look up Endurance Swimming across the English Channel)

Really, it's more that some competitive women's athletics are based in sports originally designed for men. And, given how sports come to be, that was pretty much inevitable.

If I wanted to say that, I wouldn't "try" to, I simply would.

If we made a competitive twenty inch diameter pipe crawling event, men would lose hard to toddlers. I find little merit in such efforts.
