The worst interests of those in power in China are the best interests of every free and decent person (or those who wish to be) on this planet. Even if nothing else bad news for China is cause for celebration.

And as Snowden pointed out recently, they'll never really stop. They stop doing one thing when busted and then move on to another.
Snowden exposed the wire tapping. It's more likely they've moved on to data collection.
After what Snowden exposed, if you don't think they're spying on us, you're delusional. They had hundreds of millions of phone records. He didn't expose some small operations. Let's not forget how big what he exposed actually was.

He didn't "claim to know" shit. He copied and leaked NSA documents that exposed the government's spying campaign on the United States' population.

Understandable that you may not be able to discuss it, but the documents speak for themselves, and we know what the NSA was up to, spying on millions of Americans.
It makes sense not to trust them after they've violated our trust so brazenly.
When there is a whole part of what was going on that they can not tell you because it will actively ruin a lot of necessary stuff...
Plus I literally work with people who were in the same time he was in, the NSA that is.

I don't know that I really buy this. I mean the TikTok and the Chinese government is worse than Google and Apple, sure. But Apple and Google plus the surveillance states in the US and Europe are about comparable and are the ones I actually have to interact with.
