HQ actually sent out a call today for employees to volunteer for duty at Frankfurt airport to help register and ID Afghan evacuees for further processing (ie. being sent to the federal states so that their asylum cases could be swiftly started). I know of two from my department who actually did volunteer right away. Morons.

Not to get off topic, but I recall at least one time a pagan/witch group I was hanging with putting out a statement declaring “solidarity with their Muslim brothers and sisters”…

Nah, no need to be that harsh or petty. I just don't see how it's our responsibility to take them in, especially since all that'll do will create an unnecessary draw effect. Because, let's be real: for every 100 people we evacuate, 1000 more will start the trip to get out as well. And no matter what that tweet cited above said, you can bet your ass off that those criteria cited will be softened to the point of no return because of political pressure.
Also, real talk here: if my employer had coupled that call to action with a significant bonus for that time, I might have considered going. It's the combination of doing this basically for the same pay but without the comfort of home and family on the one hand, and my opposition to that kind of backdoor migration on the other hand that made my decision.

As nasty as this situation is, I think this assessment overly pessimistic. Far more likely that 90% make their way out unscathed, a bunch get roughed up and robbed, and <1% are either killed in attempted robberies or for ideological reasons. The Taliban wants these people gone from their country and can advance their interests with only a few days of performative gentleness.

That’s not really fair to them I think? They were being told (By the government) that they had 90 days to evacuate before things went bad, most of them probably had affairs to put in order to minimize their losses or because they had lovers on site or wathever.

This is the shit that makes my gut churn. Such disclosures are a harsh warning to the entire planet that being an ally to the United States is a baaaad idea. On a purely pragmatic level this is good for most of us, American or otherwise, because it neuters the ability of our globalist rulers to sucker them into fights that none of us need. The Taliban isn’t going to want any Americans to die at this point. They want a smooth takeover and if Americans die, that will mean a retaliation or even more US troops in Afghanistan. It’s the last thing that the Taliban want and they aren’t crazy.
Now, I think it’s entirely possible that some Americans could be killed in a false flag attack in an attempt to drag us back into more open war, but it won’t be the Taliban.
I won't be surprised if this happens.
