The War in Afghanistan

Prove it.

I dont have to prove anything. They won.

Then you wonder why people hate Americans. You caused this, and now you're literally gloating.

Im not American. I am unfortunate enough to live in one of the satrapies of the Empire. Americans may think this is humiliating..and it is. I feel for the people who had to suffer in this pointless war, fought in the interests of others. But I have nothing but contempt for the regime that holds power over every institution in the USA. Its not a defeat for the American people, its a defeat for that regime, a regime that treats Americans with utter contempt and uses them as tax serfs and cannon fodder.

How? Afghanistan has nothing to do with Israel.

The real goal is was to build a client state on the border with Iran, the arch enemy of israel. Iran doesnt threaten the USA. Its a threat to Israel. The loss of Afghanistan isnt an us problem, its a you problem.

That's a diaspora thing.

how convenient.

Why should we? It's your mess to clean.

Nope. Not the USA problem anymore. I fail to see why the west should import masses of alien people who will just end up being brainwashed by CRT and turned into footsoldiers to be used against us. These people placed their bets, and they lost.

That doesn't prove the Afghani people want them in power. You have nothing.

Cool story.

Hahahahahah wow, out of all the deluded conspiracy theories I've heard this must be the most retarded one.

how convenient.

Ah yeah, it's all part of the Jews secret plan to control the west, you got us

It's your responsibility, period, end of discussion. You don't get to choose what you are or aren't responsible for.

In any case, you'll be going to my block list courtesy of your antisemitic conspiracy theories. Enjoy talking with yourself.

How does one win a civil war without a popular support? Given how Taliban essentially negotiated their way to Kabul, they are obviously viewed as at least more tolerable compared to now-previous regime.
Now it is possible that the honeymoon ends very soon when Taliban will have to actually govern as opposed to telling people "let us through, we'll let you be". But for now they are obviously popular enough to be the king of the hill.
You don't get to choose what you are or aren't responsible for.
One of the benefits of being a major power is that one can choose what one is responsible for. Whether it takes form of barging into a situation half the world or way, breaking everything in one's path - or washing one's hands of the situation and leaving the locals to deal with the resulting mess.
This is not a moral way of doing things, but politics are rarely about morality.

How does one always win wars? In this case: by being more determined, more fanatical, more forceful, and, let's face it, more competent. Their opposition was more corrupt and inept than they were. You don't need support from the local population if you're scary enough that you can cow them into obedience.

I have no doubt that they have their supporters, but I've seen no evidence that the majority prefer their rule. The tens of thousands of Afghanis literally killing themselves while trying to get a place on a plane out of the country should have clued you in.

No. You get to choose which responsibilities to uphold and which to ignore. But you don't suddenly stop being responsible for shit you caused just because you say so, no matter how powerful you are.

Uncle Joe's STUPID ass decision in withdrawing military troops out of Afghanistan will come back to haunt him & the Dems in 2022 & 2024.
You should see the sheer amount of spin and cope over on SB/SV. Their side is never in the wrong and that's going to be the narrative elsewhere.

This confirmed what I've been saying for months: Biden is the WORST President in America!!!!!
In a running containing Woodrow Wilson, FDR, LBJ, and Andrew Johnson he still has yet to place.

Anf another thing.

I fully expect Biden to turn the military against anyone who.voted.for Trump. I expect the entire intelligence apparatus to go to war with the citizens they swore to protect to save face.

I expect to have friends and relatives who get disappeared and black bagged by glowies. I expect all of us will before this is over.

We are going to be burying loved ones so some bloated welfare junky in DC can attend high priced dinners.

Implying that this is an unusual level of Afghan's motivation to get to Europe.

No, that's a delusion. Especially in Afghanistan, where people have been trying (an failing) to cow the populace into submission for decades. It did not work for King, it did not work for his dictatorial cousin, it did not work for communists, it did not work for mujaheddin. They all were left in a stalemate, not triumphantly seizing control and seeing opposition grab onto transport jets and plummeting to their doom.
In a civil war, you have to make yourself at least marginally more appealing to the masses, or your bid is doomed.
Taliban obviously is appealing enough - at least for now.

In absence of a universal impartial authority that is empowered to distribute responsibilities, there is no meaningful difference between "choosing to ignore" and "stop being responsible". Unless there is someone to bully Uncle Sam back into the breach, Uncle Sam is in the clear.

I think @GoldRanger is mostly angry and shit talking the US because he gets how this has all made the US look like a paper tiger, which is very dangerous in the long term.

However, he also doesn't seem to want to acknowledge that the US tax payer never wanted an empire, and that much of the US no longer wishes to spill blood and treasure on the boondoggle A-stan has become.

There are better, more critical places troops and treasure can be placed, and the A-stan gov was always a joke that existed mostly to feed the US mil-industrial complex.

People that voted for Trump seem to see this as demoralizing....

If Trump was in office this would be demoralizing.

Largely because Congress would probably try to impeach him again over this. General Milley would be crying in testimony before the Senate as Senator Biden vowed if he was President he would never of let Afghanistan fall under his watch. 💪

It also makes the US look like serial betrayers.

Yes, and?

Would have thought all the broken treaties with natives, the crap that happened on Vietnam and Somalia, and the fact the US rarely actually ratifies treaties congressionally anymore would have hinted pretty strongly that the US will always lookout for ourselves first and foremost.

People like you who view the US as an empire, and expect us to act as such, are making an assumption about the US that holds little water among the US population.

If we wanted to be an Empire, Japan, the Philipines, Cuba, a large part of the south Pacific, and possibly chucks of Europe and Africa would be US soil now, instead of independent nations.

Hmmm . . .
It seems like the liars that got us into this mess are now trying to flee this mess they made like the rats they are.

I vote that we leave those despicable frauds to their Talib friends. After all, it seems that CNN female journalist seen earlier is doing fine with a burqa.

It's correct to note that it wasn't just Biden, the entire government and military has been openly lying to the American people for years about the situation in Afghanistan and the capabilities of the Afghanistan military and police.

The "the glories are coming for us" thing is absurd, though.
