Oh, lovely. They've sent me a mo-ron.
Man gets away with offering a bounty on ICE agents.
Now the door can be opened to allow bounties to be posted on twitter.
This was a criminal trial, the prosecution does not get to appeal otherwise it would violate the Double-Jeopardy rule...well... if he ever actually pays it out that would DEFINITELY be incitement and I'm assuming this is getting appealed.
...appeals aren’t a second accusation. That makes no sense.
...except an appeal isn't a trial of the accused. It's effectively a trial of the judgement/court.One someone's acquitted of a charge, they can't be tried on it again, and the acquittal can't be appealed.

EDIT: I mean, the justice system is weird enough in some places that I'm not saying that's not how it works... just that it's not how I'd intuit to work.
An acquittal can be changed to a mistrial in the event of either jury tampering or extreme misconduct by the judge and thus a new trial could take place
...ok, I'd rather have acquittal's, even as insane as this one looks, be un-appealable than THAT.had serious jury tampering issues being retried without a jury
To be fair the American system was designed by looking at the British system and seeing what changes were needed, so it makes sense they do worse than we do....ok, I'd rather have acquittal's, even as insane as this one looks, be un-appealable than THAT.
My god UK, how do you ALWAYS make things worse?
you'd think they'd have fixed some stuff by now though. To be fair the American system was designed by looking at the British system and seeing what changes were needed, so it makes sense they do worse than we do.
And let elite have less power over the peons? Never!you'd think they'd have fixed some stuff by now though.
