Kublai Kahn twice sent invasion fleets to subjugate Japan (1274 and 1281).

The Japanese have a word for the typhoons which wrecked those invasion fleets: 神風 (kamikaze).

You know, there was a Typhoon that would have passed right through where the American fleet would have been had Operation Downfall taken place as scheduled? The only reason we didn't have a third historical Kamikaze is that the US decided to cheat and used a superweapon...

Regardless, the fact that most of our infrastructure and city layouts are designed around the presumption that everyone must own a car is undeniable. And while I agree with you on city life being a bad thing, suburban sprawl also has its own issues.

No, it isn't?

It's certainly easier when you have a car, but I've lived and worked in both a large and a small city with just a bike for getting around, occasionally using a bus. It's harder, but you can do it.

I'm sure there's a few neighborhoods in specific cities where it's basically non-viable, but cities generally can be lived in without a car. It's the rural areas that it becomes almost completely impractical to attempt such at.

Rural is near impossible.
Because of how far it is to everything.
I used to love 15 minutes car drive from everything.

Would it? From what I understand a large portion of the population was, for one reason or another, determined to fight to the last Japanese man, woman and child. Even down to arming people with spears of all things.

Heck, even after Hiroshima and Nagasaki were nuked, I recall that a few fanatical officers attempted a coup to prevent Japan from surrendering.

Thankfully, it seemed to fall apart pretty fast, though it’s a chilling thought to wonder how much worse things could’ve been if the perpetrators had their way…

I... think...

It's trying to say that any part of the coalition that breaks off and doesn't support trans pedophile and grooming stuff is a traitor. And by agreeing with any other group that doesn't like trans pedophile or grooming stuff they will destroy the coalition and be destroyed themselves because the right is evil.

So no division is allowed. You must support every insane horrible thing lumped into lgbt+ or you are the enemy.

It's a freaking cult.

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to see a doctor for this headache.

Edit: The cartoon isn't really hard to follow honestly. Just insane.

1. The lgbt+ group attacks normal people and steals rights for themselves.

2. A part of the group goes off on their own apparently not liking the insane fringe of the group.

3. They join with the normal people in condemning the fringe.

4. They try and remove the fringe from the group and try and make sure the fringe doesn't get whatever rights. Legalized pedophilia or drag queen shows. Whatever issue.

5. The splinter group was a fool. The normal people destroyed the whole group including those that agreed with them and took the rights back that the group stole.

The moral of the story. Normal people are evil. You must support everything in the lgbt+ group at all times. To do otherwise is to be a traitor.

Lmao, the LGBT freaks portray themselves as a mob assaulting red-headed people, steal rights, and then get justly killed to a man when the red-heads arm themselves and deal with the uppity group.

Not the message they intended, I think.

Hey, fun fact: did you know that the stonewall riots happened because the police was there to bust a paedophile ring? The Left always tells you they were the victims. But they never tell you why.

Not true at all. No, the Stonewall raid happened because the vice squad would regularly raid any gay bar and arrest everyone there. This was just business as usual, until it was finally resisted.

Because even a man dressing as a woman or dancing with a man was illegal.

There's actual footage of a cop in the raid years later describing it, and he basically says it was business as usual until suddenly it was resisted.

I'll provide mine. The first is definitely not the greatest as it's from basically an ad for the documentary, as I can't find the whole documentary online, but this video has some stuff from the leader of the raid (just the guy in the NYPD hat starting about 1:15 ish, and more at 2:20):

The man in the NYPD hat is Seymour Pine, the deputy inspector leading the police raid. He describes it basically like a normal raid.

But this second one? I need to apologize, I may have been wrong: there's a very credible claim that it wasn't a normal gay bar raid: it was a gay bar raid used as cover to raid a notorious blackmailer. See, like all gay bars, Stonewall was run by the mob. And the mob would employ straight guys as waiters/bartenders, etc, trying to pick up blackmail, all under this one guy who was apparently so notorious InterPol contacted the NYPD about it!

This law enforcement museum panel, at 34:40, starts talking about it more:

EDIT: it doesn't seem to be loading, here's a link.

I'm not sure how much to credit that, but it seems to match up with other things I've heard about it, but I hadn't heard about the blackmailer himself.

One lie I do know is the Marsha P Johnson lie. No, she was not the one to start the riots. She even admits it. But because she fits enough intersectional categories, people wanted her to be the one to have started it.
