Wow...I'm wondering if that may actually HURT his chances.

You would think, but then again, 80+ million Americans voted for him, so I can't wait to see a repeat performance where 80+ million Americans all go out to vote for Newsom in a wholly unquestioned election experience!

I joke, I joke, kinda.

CA GOPers likely to blame Elder for the likely failure of the recall next week.

I've said it before & will again: CA GOP should've united behind former San Diego Mayor Kevin Falcouner (R) from the get-go.

In the 100 years the recall was an option it has only been successfully triggered twice.

Once during grey Davis and then now, the fact that it successfully moved forward to this stage dispite the money, power, and overwheilming force put into blocking it is still a pretty massive feat.

You're from CA ? Which part of the Golden State are you from ?

On Davis: I KNEW he wasn't going to last long in Sacramento for obvious reasons: the Energy Crisis, economic disaster, Davis' horrible approval ratings, etc.,

If I recall, his controversial GOP predecessor Pete Wilson (R) sowed the seeds of harsh budget cuts, deregulation efforts & other policies that festered into blowing up in Davis' face.

Despite winning 5 statewide elections as CA State Controller (1986, 1990), CA Lieutenant Governor (1994) & CA Governor (1998, 2002).

And Hover had a number of successes under his belt too and then fucked up all the things when he was elected president. We have had a whole host of career polititions who are total fuck ups winning elections is different then actually being good at the job of actually running the government.

Despite the fact Wilson instigated all of that divisive mess in the Golden State ?

wilson got kicked out of power Davis was the one who wanted the job and took the reponsibility of fixing things. He fucked that up and became the first governor to be eliminated through a recall. I'm not going to show him any pity, the people had their word and they said he had to go.

If he had done a better job then he wouldn't have been recalled.

I mean, at least Elder is a reasonably conservative candidate. Remember when the media was pushing Caitlyn Jenner early on?

Wilson was lucky to be term limited in 1998. If you take that away, I do NOT think he would've won reelection due to backlash of his racially-charged divisive politics.

Another development in the Larry Elder campaign... as it seems Rose McGowan, the #MeToo activist and actress, is going to be appearing alongside Larry Elder or some such and is surfacing allegations against Jennifer Newsom, the Governors Wife about conduct she engaged in before the entire Harvey Weinstein disclosure and fallout.

Fox News said:
"So this woman, I don’t know, some blonde lady name with the last name of the Newsom, cold-calls me, and was like, David Boies wants to know what it would take to make you happy,'" McGowan told Dave Rubin on the Rubin Report YouTube show.

Elder said that he does not know if McGowan's allegations are true, but he told Fox LA that McGowan "has produced emails that were sent to her from Gavin Newsom's wife."

The Washington Free Beacon reported that according to financial disclosures, Newsom has accepted pricey bottles of wine from Boies, including in 2017, roughly six weeks after the publication of a New Yorker report that Boies tried to dig up dirt on Weinstein accusers, including McGowan.
