Disney will probably take around a decade or two before they retcon the sequel Trilogy out of existence for just such reasons

They would have to be in REALLY bad shape to ever admit they screwed up.
I mean... it's possible. But they were so arrogant and spiteful to the fan base. If they admit they were wrong people would kinda explode at them.
Like Carrie is dead now. Harrison won't come back. They were awful to Mark.
They had one shot and they blew it. We don't get to try again, retcons or no.
If they admit error then they have to answer for that. And they're cowards.

To be fair Disney is in pretty bad shape right now due to its spending spree in recent years resulting in it running out of cash when revenue fell off a cliff due to Corona

I did say it's possible.
I just think it's more likely they ignore the st era entirely and focus star wars on anything else.
Actually admitting they screwed up and decanonizing the st?
That's a big deal. That would be nearly unprecedented.

Hopefully Disney will realize that giving EA the Star Wars gaming license was a disaster and not renew it and proceed to print money with sequels to Republic Commando, Empire at War, Kotor, etc.
Harrison only came back because they said they would Kill Han.
He would not come back especially for Lucas. We are lucky we got him with Disney....
Until Disney coms out and says it I highly doubt they are going to erase the ST. I dont trust Youtube videos about such things, especially since most have unsubstantiated claims

Suffice to say I'm skeptical.
Rendering the ST non canon would for one-demand a new ST be made when no one is in the mood for it now.
Secondly it would absolutely enrage ST fans(if they exist) and those who saw it as sticking a finger to the sexist nerds even if they didn't care about SW.
Also it wouldn't render the Nucanon noncanon. Aftermath, Bloodline, and Rebels-would all remain canon.
So...you do that and have a small new EU which only exists to support a trilogy which you rendered non canon.
Which is an absolutely wonderful state to leave the franchise in.

Another massive official book screw-up. Aside from using fanmade 3d art, It doesn't get worse than those mislabeled vehicles!
I also liked the bit where they mentioned Ryder Windham, the author of Ultimate Star Wars hasn't gotten a penny from the dozen or so cash grabbing re-releases of the book Disney has done...
Wish I saw that screenshot as well.
A shame. I was hoping that era had adventures and stories similiar to the Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon Jinn book series...

At some point you have to start expecting the worst just based on basic pattern recognition skills.
If it's good, great.
But why should I think it will be though?
You have a point, but there have been good things. at least too me, from Disney canon

Well, there's Rogue One, the only Disney film that's halfway good. The Mandalorian isn't bad, either.
That said, if you really want to see Thrawn on screen and be his badass Legends self instead of getting turned into a generic cartoon villain ala Rebels, well, I'd recommend this fan-made series.
The Disney books and comic based off the first one is pretty good.
We still might get him in more then Animated.
