Of... course she fucking cant? Thats called sexual assault.

If you violently assault someone multiple times before they respond with violence you aren't defending yourself.
So literally the first thing we see Yang do is gleefully sexually abuse someone before bullying those who try to stop her, who cant meaningfully fight back, and setting fire to the nightclub that they own and staff.

Swap the genders. Think the scene over again. Get back to me afterwards.
I mean if I look at a lot of cop shows things like this happens all the time in them, bar fights starting because they need info...

Jesus I'm not sure which basic human common sense fact I should point out to you first?
That other shitty writing doesn't magically improve this shitty writing?
Corrolary that other people in other settings being excused for abhorrent behavior by someone somewhere real or fictional isn't actually even vaguely approaching a justification for Yang's?

That starting a fight is different than twisting someone's balls, pounding the shit out of people who can't defend themselves, and setting a building on fire?

That Yang isnt a fucking cop? And even for a cop what she did would be illegal?

Thank god the fictional psychotic bully who smiles as she pulverizes those weaker than herself for the crime of "not submitting to her fast enough" has you here to shield her.

The first Manga actually handled this exact bit much better, were it cut out everything about Yang being sadistic or cruel and just had it as Smaller in scale and Junior and her talked afterwards. It also portrayed her as being retarded for starting the fight at all.

It's almost like it isnt portrayed to have her as the perfect person but to make a great fight scene.

How foolish to conflate not wanting a main hero to be introduced as a sexual abuser and sadistic bully, and never have any comeuppance for it, with a desire for them to be "perfect".

Also, great fight scenes have tension. Great fight scenes involve the hero in danger and in pain. Great fight scenes aren't one God mogging the shit out of thirty people with a smile on their face and laughing off everything that happens to them, even going so far as to beat someone who specializes in the one thing the hero is supposed to be worst at, at that very style of combat.

Great fight scenes can have no emotion and be visual spectacles.

Can I not enjoy something you don't? Amd vice versa?

Wait AT&T owns HBO? Did not know that
AT&T owns a lot of things; things which, thanks to financial issues caused by the pandemic, they are now looking at to see which ones they can afford to sell, cannibalize for resources, or outright dismantle.

If I was them, RT can do well on their own, so why not cut them loose?

Because if they're actually profitable enough to justify existence, they'd want to keep them; unfortunately for Rooster Teeth, their numerous controversies as of late is looking like it's too much baggage for AT&T to consider it worth keeping the company as it is. Honestly, I'm not sure they're even profitable to begin with; they could very well be operating at a loss right now. Rumor has it that parts of RT might be getting merged with parts of other animation studios owned by AT&T into a single entity, with many employees discarded as so much chaff.

I know AH is self sufficient, they mainly operate themselves. The only group besides RWBY I follow.
what controversies?

Poor working conditions, unpaid overtime, massive layoffs, and a recent push towards further embracing woke activism; among other things.
Ahhh, see I only watch RWBY, RvB and AH. I may not watch the newest RvB as Joel is no longer apart of it.

Once you start paying attention to the behind the scenes stuff, it becomes apparent that Rooster Teeth is a barely-functioning mess of a company, and has been for years. Reading some of the stuff said by anonymous former employees over on glassdoor.com gets downright disturbing. I mean, check this one out posted May of this year:

I worked at Rooster Teeth Productions full-time for more than a year

Pros
The Rooster Teeth fans are a big plus and supportive. Monday lunch is a nice. Some nice media benefits from AT&T

Cons
A sinking ship comes to mind when looking at the animation department. The culture is horrible with a lot of rushed hires from the mass hiring from GL. Most the leadership is underqualified or they leave the studio. People are leaving the studio like crazy animators and tech seem to lose the most people. You are kept in the dark and expected to crank out work with ridiculous deadlines. Politics runs the department and leads are never around due to endless and useless meetings.

Nothing here is thinking long term since R&D is nonexistent. We are just expected to work show to show without improvements or advancements. This is why they are doing so much outsourcing now. Not surprising because how expensive and brute force we do our shows compared to proper animation studios.

This place is a death trap for your career since you won't get to learn and grow. Not to mention most studios don't work like this one. So the experience doesn't transfer well to other places. As I have found out the reputation of Rooster Teeth is so bad in the industry its like a black spot on your resume and you better be prepared during interviews with other companies.

Toping on the cake you're a second class citizen within the company if your in the animation department and becomes crystal clear after working there for a period of time.

Advice to Management
Hire qualified management. Invest in R&D. Clear out the toxic people.

Ah, well a small companies animation departments don't always do the best. Again I mainly focus on RTs longest running series, and their longest paid employees, AH and RvB

I hope you can understand now though why AT&T might want to "separate the wheat from the chaff", so to speak, when it comes to Rooster Teeth. Which could turn out to be a good thing in the end; RWBY, for example, might end up getting rebooted at some point, but with actual professionals who know what they're doing behind it this time.

I hope so and don't at the same time. The voice actresses for team RWBY are great, well mainly Ruby and Weiss (Cant remember her name this second)

It's a long shot, to be fair; more likely, they'll just make sequels and spin-off material that conveniently ignores all the parts of the original show that didn't work, and instead focuses on what everyone liked about it.
