Fair enough; but that doesn't mean you should trust other polls, just because they come from a place you trust and tell you what you want to hear either. One should be extremely skeptical of all polls regardless.

What, you expect people to go "OMG i love Russian imperialism now" because a poll on territories they are free to propagandize and terrorize after driving out a lot of opposition and restricting them from campaigning before the referendum indicated their imperialism was supported?
As i said, even if it was accurate (which it probably wasn't, as the same Gallup made a similar one before the takeover with different results), that changes nothing in the grand scheme of things, because let's be honest, if USA went around third world countries and replaced the governments there with no real justification beyond making a questionable poll showing local support for that replacement few months after, you would be very quick to protest that.
But guess skepticism towards polls is something for you to wield just on face value, while other people aren't supposed to wield it against even most questionable ones if you like the result.
They gave friendship with Russia a chance for about 2 decades since Soviet Union fell, so can't say they didn't try to get along. And all they got out of it was being one of poorest and most corrupt countries in the region, sneaky block of foreign policy independence, a landgrab and an invasion with intent to destroy them as a nation. How can they not hate Russia now?

Which means what, exactly? Besides; most people thought Ukraine would be conquered in a matter of days at first. It had nothing to do with whether or not that person was a "Russophile"; we just all assumed that the Russian military were mostly telling the truth about their capabilities, and weren't a complete laughingstock.
Says the man who said he's willing to trust any poll that tells him what he wants to hear over the "imaginations of pacifists, isolationists and other assorted dreamers." I'm not saying that Ukraine doesn't have very good reason to hate Russia; you're the one who's saying that any Ukrainian who doesn't isn't actually Ukrainian.
I'm praising your wisdom that only a minority of the population has resisted the Russian invasion for a year and a half. According to the Russian referendums in the occupied territories 90% wanted to join Russia so this single digit support of Ukraine in some regions really highlights how ineffective the Russian military is since the only forces resisting them are apparently the 2014 Euromaiden protestors.

So what your actually saying was a majority of Ukrainians are the ones from the part of the country that so hated Russia, they backed a violent coup of their previous pro-Russia government in favor of one that is decidedly anti-Russia?

Let me explain to you the political situation in Ukraine that led to the coup, up to today; roughly, Viktor Yanukovych was elected into office almost entirely with votes from Crimea and eastern Ukraine. Western Ukraine does not support him, and downright comes to hate him when he pivots the country away from potentially joining NATO, what they want, and towards making closer ties with Russia; something the people who voted him in over in Crimea and eastern Ukraine overwhelmingly support. Political tensions rise, and eventually reaches a breaking point where western Ukraine decides to overthrow Viktor Yanukovych, and replace the government with one that is decidedly anti-Russia. This then pisses off Crimea and eastern Ukraine, who choose to be annexed by Russia, and try to rebel against the coup government respectively. Russia limits itself to just backing the rebels until America ends up with a weak president, at which point Putin decides it's time to strike (it isn't, but he doesn't know that) and take over western Ukraine, who by and large have every reason to hate the Russians and resist them with everything they have.
In short, what we have is a Ukraine that is sharply divided, with Russia trying to invade the part that overwhelmingly (and justifiably) hates them.

You replied "blah blah only the Ukrainians from the part of the country that hates Russia so much blah blah blah" and didn't state where, or how many or their distribution or whatever so I cracked a joke about it because it sounds like a bland declaration that is so empty and devoid of substance that it deserves nothing more then a petty response and you were like... what's your joke mean and tried to shift the discussion to lol Russian Military. So I explained why I made my one liner comment and you called me a liar. WTF?
