Anyway, back on topic:

Maybe more fucked up than the last post, maybe less. We'll never know for sure, and that's the problem. Fire him.

"Smile, you're always on 'Candid Camera!'" when out in public is something everyone older than a toddler should know these days. That some people don't realize this amazes me.

I should go look up and share some of the videos of cops getting arrested for DUI.

That the one of a sleeping drunk cop on the side of a road which involves other cops breaking the window of a police SUV, them finding an MP5 submachine gun in the SUV, and calling another department to ask "Is this one yours?" doesn't even make the first page of a Google search says something.

So follow up: the cop who shot the kid in the parking lot finally got arrested, 10 days after the shooting. Not good enough by half, but at least they are headed in the right direction. Currently, he faces two charges of "aggravated assualt by a public servant", which is a first degree felony in Texas (so it theoretically has the same punishment as the attempted murder). Note there are two charges because there were two people in the car, not because of the number of shots.

There are police who do a good job and police who are corrupt, same as any job really.
Most cops are like most people: they want to get through their day without having to deal with any unnecessary BS. Unfortunately some cops - like some people - enjoy being the unnecessary BS that'll inevitably and eventually show up, say "Hi!", and ruin everyone's day.

This shit is retarded, Also I have never personally seen these sort of laws actually enforced. Clearly those pigs have too much free time.
Profesional licensure laws do get enforced. It's usually against someone who doesn't have a licence or had their licence revoked.

In this instance they're being used against someone with a licence that is valid elsewhere but not valid in Florida.

I have never seen them get enforced especially after hurricanes.

That's just the first one Google gave me.

EDIT: I use Engineering Designer instead of Professional Engineer because I am not licenced in all 50 states and have done work - with a PE supervising - in states I'm not licenced for.

These laws are enforced a lot, though usually not by cops. The whole reason behind these laws is to drive up prices by banning people from participating in parts of the economy.

Also, more fun:
