We already lost the Cold War with China; because from beginning to end we refused to recognize that it was even happening, and ended up with most of our institutions subverted by them without a fight. I'm just saying that Red China deserves the title way more than Putinist Russia, which is more or less finished as a world power in all significant ways, but militarily. Sadly, I doubt the Chinese will come under nearly the kind of scrutiny they deserve. We'll come to regret that later, I fear.
