No. Marines are Marine, Navy are Sailors or Shipmate, depending on if you are addressing one as a non-squid to squid or navy to navy respectively. Army is Soldier. No one is really sure how to refer to the air force.

Wut? Does "Soldier" not apply to naval personnel? Is it actually held to be Army-specific, mostly for infantry?
It is disrespectful to call someone not in the Army a soldier. As Vic points out
Every branch has a name. Army is Soldier.

Airman is just the general term for all AF. Even of they are higher up when they get out. It is a respectful thing to call them if you fo not know thier rank.

Jason Kelly, a Democrat running for local office in Arizona was apparently arrested for attempting to grab a rifle from a "militia member" during a march and also assaulted an independent journalist, as seen below in the Tweet by said journalist.

Much discipline, very soldier.

The Mayor of San Francisco, London Breed, was caught violating her own cities mask mandate. In response she stated: "We don’t need the fun police to come in, and try and tell us what we should or shouldn’t be doing. We know what we need to do to protect ourselves.”

She of course is only the latest in a long line of politicians, mostly Democrat, who've flaunted their own mask mandates.

Dunno if anybody saw this. Jen Psaki says it's unfair and absurd for people to tell her that if she raises the taxes on companies, the companies will pass on the costs to the consumer. American people would not stand for that.

'

Transcript in case it gets deleted:
REPORTER: I want to ask you about what Republicans are pointing to in the analysis from the Joint Committee on Taxation. They say, according to — if I've read the chart correctly, more than 16 percent of taxpayers would see their taxes increase under the bill that's approved by the House Ways and Means Committee. Will the President sign that bill if — as if — it is coming out of that committee? Or will he insist on the changes so that he will maintain his commitment that taxes won't go up on people making $400,000 a year?

Jen Psaki: I have not looked at the document or the report that you have put out. Obviously, the President — or that you have referenced, I should say — that the Republicans put out.

Obviously, the President's commitment remains not raising taxes for anyone making less than $400,000 a year. There are some — and I'm not sure if this is the case in this report — who argue that, in the past, companies have passed on these costs to consumers. I'm not sure if that's the argument being made in this report. We feel that that's unfair and absurd, and the American people would not stand for that.

But I will take a closer look at this report and get you a more substantive response.

Businesses aren't charities. They also don't have complete control over prices and passing increasted costs on to the consumer is highly dependent on what they're selling.

Oil companies? Fuel demand is very inelastic so small changes in supply result in large changes in price. A tax increase will show up at the pump pretty much the next day.

Paperclip manufacturers? The price for a box of paperclips is what it is and a bored shcmuck with a barn, enough cash install worn out tooling, buy spools of wire, and way too much spare time could start mass producing paperclips about as cheaply as you do. They're going to eat the tax increase instead of passing it on.

Democratic Pennsylvania State Representative Chris Rabb has proposed, in response to abortion presumably, to pass a bill that will mandate forced sterilization of all males depending on the number of women then "inseminate" or their age.

Do it. Do it motherfucker. Don't talk about it to farm internet points, fucking put it in writing with your name on it and submit it and then campaign on it. I want to see the Pennsylvania state government vote on it. Lets see what these kind of stunts cost when actual rubber meets actual road. Until then stop using Twatter.

Is it just me, or does Inseminators sound like a hilariously bad Terminator porn parody?

…I should probably be worried that that was the first thing that sprang to mind reading that tweet.

Also, I did love the tweet talking about the reproductive rights of trans-men. It was kinda the facepalm icing on the absurdity cake.

I also hope he goes through with it and that the Pennsylvania legislature is insane enough to pass it. Would make for great campaign material and the flood of lawsuits from the, likely, thousands of baby daddies in the state would be very amusing to watch.

Being a successful politician in foreign affairs means becoming a war criminal doesn't it?
Laughter in Kissinger intensifies....

George HW Bush at least was pretty successful in terms of foreign policy and he made sure to work within the confines of international norms.

George W Bush seemed like he wanted to imitate and try to one-up his father's achievements which was pretty much how we ended up in the Iraq debacle. Though of course there were other issues like play with how the sale of oil is largely done in US dollars, and how "coincidentally" every time a nation tried to sell oil in Euros they "suddenly" experienced a regime change. \

Until then stop using Twatter.
Man I'm so glad I was simply never bothered to get a twitter lol.

That moment when you go so far woke that you end up on the same side as 20th Century Progressives calling for the sterilization of anyone they deemed as "undesirables."

I also hope he goes through with it and that the Pennsylvania legislature is insane enough to pass it.
I mean while I don't expect this to succeed, I wouldn't exactly be surprised if it does somehow does get passed considering the incompetence of the PA GOP. They literally allowed for the unconstitutional (PA constitution) change in voting regulations which contributed to the hot mess that was the 2020 election.

If my mom ever sees that no amount of the Pratorian Guard would even have a chance of stopping her when she's upset.

Note: Do not get me started on just how dangerous my 12 sisters can be. Don't irritate them because I'm pretty sure they can't extinguish fires they start.

My youngest sis uses liquid helium because liquid Nitrogen is, for what she does, woefully inadequate.

Ex president of Georgia, Mikhail Saakashvili, left his cushy job in Ukraine and went to Georgia, apparently he tried to reenact his 2017 invasion of Ukraine and predictably got arrested.
