Britain Passing of Queen Elizabeth Political Discussion

I’m not talking about secular society tolerating gays I’m talking about the Anglican Church. Yes it’s an arm of government but it was also a church. And the monarch should have dissolved the church when it started with gays and priestesses. And yes many Episcopalians are atheists.
Then they aren't Christians?

The biggest difference between an American and someone British is that Americans generally don't care about aristcratic titles while someone British often does.

As for religion? Which religion is the correct one?

There are a lot of Americans who can express displeasure (to put it mildly) with your beliefs and are only held back by the expense of a felony defense.
I'm saying that if you are an Anglican preacher, and you are openly Atheist you should not be a preacher. And I already know which religion is the correct one thank you.

So, the leader of PP Revival has summarized wonderfully why a lot of us Bulgarians don't give a rat's ass about the passing of the english symbolic monarch, it might have something to do with the systematic anti-Bulgarian politics the English have indulged in, starting with their support for the Turks and later the Greeks and all our other enemies for over 100 years, among the dramatis personae we find interesting bastards like Hidayet pasha British-Lithuanian mercenary, terrorist and failed arsonist, ringleader of Bashibozouk murderers and rapists, an apparent long running Bulgaria Derangement Syndrome in the British press, including calling us uncivilized savages. The anti-Bulgarian massacres in Macedonia, the bombardment of Sofia despite the fact that Bulgaria was not contributing any men and material to the Axis war effort, which led to 4208 civilian casualties and which was done on the behest of Churchill, who thought that we had to pay for something and that we were, as the so called british Ryla commission said, uncivilized savages, he also demanded that the country be partitioned and punished heavily after the war.
Our national liberation from the Ottoman Yoke was postponed for over a generation thanks to British involvement in the Crimean war and after the Russo-Turkish war of 1877 much Bulgarian territory was returned to Turkey, the country was split and turned into a vassal of the Ottomans and fucked over in numerous ways, out attempts to reunify our lands cost us decades of bloody warfare and catastrophe and the Bulgarians from parts of the lands we lost because of Disraeli and the Berlin Congress were systematically discriminated against, killed, tortured and pushed off of their land.

He also says that "The british fight best against women and children" and that he "hopes that Wales and Scotland will soon be independent", and that this worship of the foreigner is idiotic.
He was also kinda pissed because Abe's death was not covered by the same level of media noise, as in, emergency news broadcasts and shows about his life since we have historically had decent relations with them and he was a very accomplished nationalist politician.

Also, apparently there was a 20 000 strong Polish Ottoman legion but that is for another time, also how very Christian of the Poles.

So, @Lord Sovereign to answer your questions from the other thread, and after we look at your country's dirty laundry, do you think that almost any Bulgarian with even a cursory interest of our national history and a shred of true patriotism would probably gladly spit on your dead queen's corpse?

What goes around, comes around.

Yes but the Anglican church calls these people modernist. At best they think Christianity has good life lessons but the Bible is not the word of god and god might not exist. The monarch is the head of the Church of England like the pope is head of Catholics. That the head of the religion let it degrade shows they did not do their job.

It's why you don't have a head of state also be head of a religion, it's hard to keep focus on both.

But she is. And many in the past were able to handle 3 hats head of state, government, and religion. This is one problem I have with monarchists, they always excuse the failure of the king. They say it happens because this reason or that they never say the monarch failed to uphold their duty.

Well the Kings of England shouldn't had abandoned the Pope in the first place.

To be fair to poland the Prussians, Austrians, and Russians partitioned their country and destroyed it, they were thus looking for any ally to help them gain their freedom.

So helping the Turkish bashibozuks slaughter, rape and brutalize unarmed, civillian populations, force conversions to Islam, burning people alive was somehow helping free Poland?

Yeah, no, stinks like spite to me.

Well the Kings of England shouldn't had abandoned the Pope in the first place.

The "Pope" should never have existed to start with.
When the bishop of Rome started claiming total overlordship of all of Christianity in the 11th century, it split Christendom down the middle, and led to some serious wars.

And by the time the 16th century came along - well there were reasons that much of northern Europe decided to turn their backs on Popery.

That said, the concept of the "State Church" has it's own flaws. The big one, IMHO, is that it means loads of people attending church just because the government says so, going through the motions, without taking any of it too seriously.

Then why did those people make up their own theology instead of going back to the truth of orthodoxy?

They didn't. Luther and more so Calvin went back to Augustine. As one Roman Catholic author I read put it: "Calvinism is basically Augustine dialed up to 11".

Luther attempted dialogue with the Orthodox churches, but they didn't seem all that interested in talking to him.

Yeah, constitutional monarchies are pointless.Basically a long running hereditary soap opera.

Tell that to the wads of cash the British royal family brings into the UK.

Seriously, I'm not a monarchist, but the UK royal family does provide some significant benefits to their nation.
