One night stands have arguably done a lot to devalue relationship, marriage, and moral standards in general. They demean women and men alike, creating issues with love and sexual intimacy/performance. This creates a lot of confusion and promiscuity in both sexes outlined here:



Still, as seen above, the guy stops short of recommending monogamy and recommends using women which is not the correct solution. TLDR: Women get to fuck more than men in this situation and it turns women into whores and men into betas.

However, there is another extreme men are falling into:



As seen here, some men are so scarred by how women treat them and have no confidence that they would rather attempt relationships with women who are not real. I would argue that this is worse as it desensitizes men when it comes to real male-female interaction and isolates them in what amounts to pure porn with no chance of real intimacy. At least men who do one-night stands may transition to pursuing real relationships. Men who are into dating fiction... Not so much.

At least, that is my opinion.

As much as I hate it, we live in a world with aids, and numerous other sexual diseases, the anime body pillow guy while pathetic isn't a danger to himself and others. Some one who lives for one night stands can end up getting themselves and a lo of other people killed. That's beside the legal issues that were brought up.

One night stands require both skill and socialization. I agree they are likley destructive for society. Id also say that they do indeed represent certain dangers. Still though "anime waifus" are literally just pretending. No effort is involved no socialization occurs. In fact they will actually prevent socialization somewhat. He's certainly a danger to others. His failure to breed is a direct threat to literally his entire nation. You could easily argue one nights are a greater danger. Still though he absolutely harming others.
