I don't see this doing anything in the long run except angering the academic mafia. Not until the gentlemen in Wall Street and San Francisco change their mind will this inanity end.

The gas and retail chain in the South known as Buc-ee's has banned a man for bringing in his 'service duck' named Wrinkle into a store. The duck' attracted much attention though it remained in the stroller most of the time until an employee informed him that only service dogs were allowed in the store, not 'service ducks.'

The employees stated that even service ducks need to be on a leash or else it could fly out for example. The YouTuber, with over two and a half million followers, who apparently video blogs about his duck life complied by putting an "imaginary leash" on the duck' before checking out.

When outside, he was met by the cops who informed him that he is banned from all Buc-ee's locations.

Traumatizing moment clearly.

I dunno. I originally envisioned this thread as for posting non-overtly political amusing stories... but then I did put it in the News & Politics forum so people are posting their political content in this thread so all I can do is passively :cautious: when it happens. :p

I pretty much feel the same way about the Happy News thread, but that's in the Community forum but I'm not that ones OP, merely its biggest contributor.

A Texas mother and daughter duo have been arrested for allegedly running a cross-country illegal butt Botox operation.

Consuelo Dal Bo, 56, and her daughter Isabella Dal Bo, 18, were busted by Houston police on Wednesday during a sting operation.

An undercover officer posed as a client to meet the two women at a temporary residence on Eastern Meadowlark Way in Conroe. Texas, on Wednesday, reported KTRK. The mother and daughter had reportedly came straight from the airport after conducting business in California.

Police said the women tried to give the undercover cop Xanax to relax before the injections.

"The injectable silicone oil (breaks) off into smaller particles throughout the body, possibly causing permanent damage and life-threatening complications such as stroke, embolism and even death."

I just want to inform everyone who is doubtful:
According to the DailyMail those photos DO correspond to the actual booking photos. They're not digitally altered as far as it seems.

I only say this because of just how much the pair look like what one might stereotypically picture as a mother-daughter pair running a black-market butt-botox ring.

Turns out the Amazon "AI" that was running their cashless stores was actually 1000 wage slaves in india watching a live stream from the cameras

To be fair, they were trying to train an AI to do it by using the data made by the indian operators.
But after years of training the AI is still wrong 70% of the time and requires manual correction by the people running it

Okay, I know that's pretty damning and sad, but it's also fucking hilarious in a dark way.
