Musk actually buys Twitter.

Why not? It was a worthless cesspool of bots and leftists that no intelligent person considered as a viable platform for speech.
He 'slightly' improved things, nowhere near enough but as if anybody could fix that mess.
REALLY he should've just shut the entire operation down, and burn the server farms into slag. But of course he wasn't going to do that.
My opinion was always "he either destroys it or improves it, it's a win either way."

I don't visit twitter/X aside from links in news stories and stuff. But it does seem to be better. More speech is allowed, and community notes have "fact checked" Biden's Whitehouse and other propaganda accounts that used to run wild with no accountability. So that's a plus.

As far as I am concerned, allowing more free speech was a massive improvement.

Plus it revealed how utterly corrupted social media was/is by leftists and intelligence agencies.

Him buying Twitter was definitely a good thing.
The twitter files are a big win
He revealed that all those so called "conspiracy theories" are real.
And has since also revealed the active censoring by various govt including USA, UK, and EU who are actively demanding social media censor political opponents.

Yesterday a big whistleblower leaked documents showing CTIL.
A subdivision of USA DHS which is aiming to become a standalone organization equivalent to the CIA and is targeted entirely at global censorship of conservatives. Starting since 2018.
It started explicitly as a way to get around that pesky 1st amendment by having govt agents work entirely via private companies to perform said suppression.

Ok that's new to me...what is jump or pipeline that theoritically one leads to another ? Because I think this is mostly an American thing and the most fringe of all.
It's not an American thing, you see it across the world where antisemites raise their heads.

In part, it has to do with the fact that some of the most popular antisemitic texts are actual conspiracy theory works. For instance, one of the foundational works of modern antisemitism is "Protocols of the Elders of Zion" which was published in Russia in 1903 and, well, as near as anyone can tell is entirely made up or plagiarized from other works that were not claiming to be factual (in fact, one of the largest "influences" (read, copied nearly verbatim) was a French political satire piece criticizing Napoleon III... and had nothing to do with Jews).

However, once you buy into the claims of it, it's easy to start believing other conspiracy theories...

Oh boy I remember when the FBI posted the Protocols on twitter. I still don't quite know WHY they did it.

Henry Ford had a large part to play as well

What I'm saying is he should never have bought Twitter in the first place.
As an investment, or a for-profit business venture, it's a complete disaster for Musk. But if his intention was actually to trade money for influence over a social media platform's agenda, then it's hard to argue that he hasn't succeeded, even if that social media platform takes a battering as a result.

I think some of it has to do with people not being taught critical thinking. So that when anti-semites pull out a few points of cherry-picked ‘evidence’ as people don’t think to examine the issues critically.

This is a case of media taking the most unhinged people in the world who believe literally everything they read online and go look, look how crazy those people are. They believe X and also Y and Z. This has been done for various "conspiracy theories" throughout the years.

A flat earther will loudly yell about jewish space lasers and lizard people.
Meanwhile even alex jones does not even dare to mention the word jew when discussing anything related to politics. And when tupac started going on about it in his show Alex had the facial expression of "oh shit. how do I make this mofo shut the fuck up before I am ruined".

Your typical westerner with any "racist" tendencies. Whether it is racism towards blacks, jews, or whatever, will at most lightly allude to it without explicitly admitting to it. Because they don't want to be thrown in prison (every western country except america) or fired and become homeless (america)

Even in this very own forum you get people accusing each other of racism (but only against protected classes. it is ok to call russians orcs, but if you say the N word for black people you get banned. it is ok to openly call for the shooting of all russian children outside of russia, and to say to we should genocide palestinians. but only them).

Thus you have a combination of:
1. correlation does not equal causation.
2. false narrative created by the media.
3. selection bias. normal people self censor.

Actually, specifically calling for genocide, as opposed to 'we should wipe out Hamas', is against the rules. We've hit people for calling Russians orcs as well. If somebody has called for murdering Russian children anywhere we'd hit them for it (report it if you saw it).

God fucking damnit I can't stand people who can't understand simple principles.

Elon: Blackmail is bad, fuck anybody who does it
Retard media man: Yeah but...You need money right? You gotta please the advertisers
Elon: They're blackmailing, the world will see they are blackmailing
Retard media man: But...But you need advertiser money right?

The concept of "Don't sell your fucking soul for a buck" is beyond these zombies.

It's refreshing and horrifying to be reminded that these people are glorified golems.
