There is a 1990s law that bans pro-pedo organizations from receiving federal grants and Twitter has some ambiguously pro-pedo policies in place. Some of the people leaving could try to leak some documents to make these policies unambiguous to make twitter have to pay back federal grant money based on this.

If they pull something lke this, it could kill twitter, but it could also backfire massively.

Sure, it's just now quite explicitly not going to be the free-for-all, clean-slate-for-everyone that many people were assuming based on some of Musk's more hyperbolic statements.

You'd think that by now, people would have noticed that Elon habitually makes hyperbolic off the cuff statements which should not be taken at face value because of how often he ends up walking them back or changing his mind, but at the same time can't be completely ignored because he does sometimes follow through with them in some form.

Like, that's not a pro-Elon or anti-Elon statement, that's straight up an observable habit of Elon.
