Monsterverse vs Pacific Rim

Tresspasser wrecked the Golden Gate bridge which weighs like 5x Godzilla does.

I'm not sure that matters since Trespasser isn't picking up the bridge, but rather breaking a support cable and causing the rest to collapse. Most humans will have little trouble destroying a structure that weighs many thousands of times what they do if it's held up by a string they can cut.

Eh the impressive thing he koolaid man's through it in one pass with enough force to tear a significant chuck of it out.

It's not like he methodically aimed at specific parts, he literally just walked right through it, which is kinda impressive considering that the Golden Gate Bridge isn't designed to fall like a stack of domino's, normally only a small fraction of it would fall and the rest remain held up by anchors and cables.

Canonically Trespasser did his damage in one pass.

And just to emphasize Godzilla does the same thing but only rip through a tiny fraction of what Trespasser did.

Trespasser definitely outputted significantly more strength

Um, no. We see Tresspasser attack the bridge in the movie, he doesn't remotely kool-ade man his way through, he tears at the bridge for quite a bit. Godzilla actually rips through the bridge in 25 seconds (First contact at 2:07, torn completely through at 2:32), while Tresspasser takes an unknown amount of time that is significantly longer than 29 seconds (First contact at 41 seconds, still not through the bridge when it fades to black at 1:13)

Further, Godzilla does so while under heavy fire from ships, tanks, and missiles while Tresspasser is unopposed.

To be fair 'ships, tanks and missiles' aren't really heavy fire for the big G, he doesn't even notice those sorts of attacks unless they get him in the gills.
Amusingly human-scale weapons do in fact harm Kaiju, Striker's missiles look comparable to P-700 Granit's and they messed up a Kaiju real good.

Well that's a fair point, but there are about ten-fifteen seconds in there where Godzilla looks at whoever's shooting at him instead of directly tearing through the bridge, indicating he could go through it much, much faster if he weren't at least distracted by the insects shooting futiley at him.

Disagree, I don't think your analysis is accurate

First Godzilla's rampage starts at 2:00 and ends at 2:33. (33 Seconds)

Trespassers starts at 0:44 and at at 1:00 (16 Seconds)

When they grab the bridge

Godzilla 2:09. Shakes the cables but does not do any severe damage after five seconds

Godzilla then takes about five seconds to bust through a small section of the bridge

Trespasser 0:44. Places his right hand on the bridge immediately kicking up dirt and shaking the entire bridge, puts his left hand on the bridge and it starts having all the cars fall off.

Tresspasser 0:51 (If we ignore comic feat) literally pulling the right side of the bridge up while the opposite side sinks.

0:58 the remains of the bridge fall off BEHIND him, showing it took 7 to 14 seconds for him to do this feat

At 1:02 we see Trespasser getting attacked by Jets as he's crossing the bridge.

And yes he was attacked while attacking the bridge
Snip-it_1679109861367.jpg

No selling its guns and even crash without a scratch, sure it wasn't tanks or navy craft but it was getting attacked just like Godzilla.

And ultimately Trespassers feat is far more physically impressive in terms of strength.

Both Kaiju are more than large and strong enough to blitz straight through the bridge, the fact both take a bit of time is seemingly because they both don't exactly know what a bridge is.
A human can bust right through a cheap wooden door but most don't. XD

You're taking scenes that are after a cutaway to an entirely different scene, with an unknown amount of time passing in between during the black space. You're also rather nicely highlighting how Godzilla turned away from the bridge for a lengthy period and walked alongside it trying to investigate what was shooting at him rather than attacking the bridge.

I was ignoring the jet that shows up after the timeskip as a kindness, it indicates that Tresspasser took so long at tearing up the bridge that they had time to authorize and send an armed mission, probably from Travis Air Force Base, indicating he was there for several minutes. This is clear from the dialogue indicating they didn't know Tresspasser was there before he hit the bridge, whereas Godzilla was anticipated as indicated by the bunched up military assets.

Comic feat can't be used to compare speed because, surprise, it's not actually moving and it's impossible to tell how long the event took. Tresspasser could have spent five minutes gradually tearing down the bridge to make a hole that large, actually pretty likely given the air sortie.

Well Tresspaser is actually lifting part of the Golden Gate bridge up with their right hand.

Godzilla weighs 90-110 thousand tons, considering he seemingly can lift his own bodyweight/other kaijus he could easily lift a section of the bridge.

Erm wrong lol, the events are out of order, seconds after that scene is done we see a squad of jets fly over an intact Golden Gate bridge.

Cars were still driving by the bridge so the Airforce had been preparing for Trespasser already.

The argument is less Godzilla couldn't lift the bridge and more that the Kaiju's weight difference wouldn't make a difference because they're already comparable in raw stats.

Tresspasser is a big boy (i don't know why the kaiju got SMALLER after him) but Godzilla is bigger, a fair bit bigger once he got bigger in later films.

He's taller for sure but his reach is absolutely garbage which would have the shorter Kaiju (10-20 meters shorter) have better range than him.

It does not follow that both being able to lift a section of bridge means they're equal in stats. Spiderman can lift a section of bridge, Superman can lift a section of bridge, but Spiderman =/= Superman in strength. Trespasser does not have the kind of feats Godzilla has. F'rex the dialogue says Trespasser was taken down by "Tanks, Jets, and Missiles" but nobody has ever suggested even the weakest version of Godzilla would go down to that kind of firepower.

If the scenes are out of order and we can't use timestamps, that can just as easily be taken to mean it took Trespasser 15 minutes of shaking to start inflicting damage, not that the air force was ready ahead of time.

Godzilla has his big tail and, ya know, he shoots radiation beams out of his face.

Not necessarily but definitely competitive even if Trespasser only lifted half the other Kaiju scale above him in strength.

Spiderman can lift a section of bridge, Superman can lift a section of bridge, but Spiderman =/= Superman in strength.
The difference between Superman and Spiderman is several magnitudes, the difference between Kaiju and Godzilla in raw physical strength is miniscule.

Trespasser does not have the kind of feats Godzilla has.
In terms of physical feats uh yeah he does, tearing the Golden Gate Bridge and creating 7.1 magnitude Earth quakes is more than enough to be competitive, Kong who has far weaker strength feats was able to give Godzilla a difficult time in melee.

Trespasser actually took nukes it's confirmed by the writer, Tanks/Jets didn't kill it but the three "missiles" which is stated in the film and then confirmed by the CO writer to be nukes.

Even the comics literally stated that the purpose of the Jaegars was to have the focused power of nukes

Occam's Razor.

The simplest solution is he ripped the bridge apart in seconds, there's nothing to suggest it took him minutes.

He made a 7.1 Earth quake earlier

Godzilla has his big tail and, ya know, he shoots radiation beams out of his face.
Yeah that's fine, my original argument was directed to someone saying that Godzilla can one shot in physicals which is blatantly false.

His main strength is his beam and tail, with the beam being an OP trump card.
