it depends on how self rightous said vegan was, if their generally cool then yeah a real waste but if their the type to get in everyones face....then its worth every penny.

That young lady's "sleeping face" does not look to be that of some strident SJW type.

What would be the point of buying a game if you're not going to install it?
There's a surprisingly large segment of the Steam Community that buys games just to collect them like coins or stamps, but doesn't play. There's also a fair few people who buy games planning to play them but never get around to it.

I mean, Unity is a slow, bloated turd already, and I find it hard to believe this will work for existing games from a purely legal standpoint and because any spyware they have bundled in will not be present.

Unreal engine and some indie engines are the real winner, here.

Between the sheer size of the backlogs, the games becoming longer but not providing an adequate justification for the extra time burned, and huge games that are time syncs and need 100+ hours to beat, as well as perpetual MMOs like Warframe, Warhammer *tide games, Forthnight or what is it called, CS:GO and the like, are your surprised...

My backlog is fucking worse and 37% is a fucking wonderful unplayed backlog.

Backlog and discounts. Working adults can only devote so much time per month to playing video games.
Then there is a wild sale and they think "I will buy it now on sale to save money, and play it later when I have time"... they never "have time".

For me the real source of the backlog though was the humble bundle. it just dumps a ton of games into your steam library. I actually cancelled my humble bundle subscription because I realized I will likely never get through the backlog it created for me.

Yup, this and other bundle sale things (buy bundle for being cheaper than 1-2 games in it that you want, don't play 2-3 other obscure games that also came in the bundle) and free games are major culprits there.

Meh, I stopped using GoG in 2017 and 2018 when they cucked out several times over jokes. Like when they posted a Postal 2 image of a "games journalism tombstone" and the usual suspects screeched about Gamergate and they sided with the group that hates gamers.

Then there was the time they simpered and bowed to the outrage mob over a PC Master Race joke.

I think there was also another time they pussied out and bent the knee over another joke tweet they made because the Twittards thought it was transphobic or something.

But yeah, my thinking is if they cuck out this easily to leftoids, I can't trust them not to fuck me over in favor of the corpos and the libtards.

They also backtracked on the "complete games" promise and started with predatory DLC schemes

They literally dropped the "Good old games" thing and went "we are now just gog and it does NOT mean good old games anymore". Forgetting that literally the entire point was that back in the good old days of gaming, games were not money milking gambling DLC ridden crap
