You know, I once read the first few chapters of the Turner Diaries for... some reason. It didn't seem very well written or interesting so I dropped it, but a lot of policies over the last few years relating to gun rights and racial justice seem to have been reflected in what little I read. From what I recall it went something like this: revoke gun rights from the general public, let minority gangs have free run... ?... profit. I think the first chapter is the eponymous Turner getting his house searched for guns by a group of gang-bangers, and then he rescues a good clean WASP girl from being assaulted or something? The details probably aren't important, it's just a comparison that I've noticed popping up in my head quite often.
