my comment on the 2nd pic: I think people forget that superheroes (Especially their older brother pulps) are essentially the folklores and myths drawn in very detailed petroglyphs with text written on them. if you like superheroes (or pulp heroes) then you at least have an appreciation for the art that created said folklore even if you don't like said folk heroes. but hey a lot of twitteriest don't know how stuff works and evolves over time so I can't say I'm surprised.
