Yeah, the Food Pyramid recommending 6-11 servings of "grains" was not especially healthy, especially since it didn't distinguish types of grain or the differences between whole grain, bleached white flour, and froot loops... it even has nuts and meat in the same category of healthiness. The pyramid itself was heavily designed to cater to lobby groups and ignored actual research in favor of propping up whoever paid the most, it even had altered wording to make Fast Food seem more healthy!
