Apologies for the double post, but this really bothers me. Does anyone else remember that Gay Marriage was legalized on the basis that being homosexual was an "inherent characteristic" IE people were born that way and that its impossible to change someones sexual preferences?
Yet in the last five to six years the Left has moved from homosexuality being an inherent trait, to it being a choice, which absolutely flies in the face of all their arguments from the 90s to mid 00s, and what eventually allowed gay marriage to be legalized.
So first, it's not a choice, it's just some men want to have sex with lesbians. Seriously, just google "your genital preferences are transphobic" to find some of the most homophobic things you'll ever see, all brought to you by lefties. They are trying to guilt people into feeling obligated to have sex with them.
And then it snowballed from a shitty pickup attempt into a social movement. I don't think there's anyway something so dumb would have been organized. Just people being dicks about how they want to have sex, and then the social benefit of being trans plus the lack of requirements to qualify.
And second, the argument for gay marriage isn't based on it being a choice (which is good for me, as since I'm bi it is a choice). It's based around once marriage is a secular institution, it's none of the government's damn business who I marry. Add that to separation of Church and State in the US, and that's the extent of the argument.
No, it's not a moral argument, I'm not trying to make one. Religious marriage can still mean whatever your sect wants it to mean, it's also not my business to screw with that.
Now, as to child grooming, there is one exception to the child grooming bill I'll actually listen too, and it's a good point. What happens when the woke parent brings there 'trans' kid to school, and the kids ask the teacher "What's up with George? Why's he wearing a dress?" That would, in a normal world, be a fine time for the teacher to quickly, dispassionately, explain what's up with George then move on. But in Florida, the teacher can't say anything, so the kid is going to get laughed at worse. Of course, outside Florida, the teacher might also try to convert new kids, so IDK.
