So what I'm getting here is that police personnel aren't just a bunch of brainlets.
Like I said, I would argue that it's quite rational to weed out candidates who are at a high likelihood of quitting so quickly that you never make back the investment on their hiring and training. It's the exact same logic that businesses use in rejecting overqualified candidates, and again, the bottom line is still that police departments do in fact require above-average intelligence.
