The problem is those weapons were so eroded and reduced in effectiveness due to mishandling and improper storage that they were virtually worthless. Some had been stored there for decades, likely stored then forgotten by even the Iraqi's. So, Bush was technically correct in Iraq having them, but...nowhere near anything resembling a smoking gun by even a long shot. All in all, the invasion was a waste in manpower, tax payer money and American strength that could have been better spent elsewhere.

The Iraqis most likely did research on them and then forgot about them.
Bush however, claimed the Iraq had them ready to deploy against the US, which was a big fooking lie.
Iraq invasion clearly had ulterior purposes, like destabilizing the Mideast and permanently raising oil prices.
Also, Saddam rebelled against the global cabal and tried to go his own way, so they had to shut him down.
