Hennessy is a real name, the cognac is just named after Richard Hennessy, who founded the brand. That's like saying that Sir Alec Guinness has a bad name.
Yeah that is someone's last name.

I highly doubt the Hennesy on the resume I saw was being named after Richard himself. It also was not a last name.

This person, along with patrone, was most likely named that because their ghetto ass moms drank that liquor.

It is a family name. This is like having a Brazilian with 'Silva" as his first name. There are family names that can be first names and vice versa(as well as names that started as personal ones and now are family names only), but Hennessy(or Guinness, for that matter) sure don't look like that.

And why not? Who are you to decide what last names can be used as a first name?

And? It's still a real normal name. If one's mind immediately goes to the cognac, that sounds like a "you" problem to me.

Well then why not have Khalliei as a “normal” name lol

Is it an actual in real life name, first or last? Is it written in a way that someone can reasonably figure out how it's supposed to be pronounced? Then more power to whoever wants to use that as a name. If it's an actual IRL person's name used in the real world somewhere, then IDGAF, even if it's more popularly known for something else. As long as how it's written is reasonably matching to how it's supposed to be pronounced, unlike that "Le-a is Ledasha" nonsense.

Italy had to make a law for people stop its people naming with Garibaldi (our national hero) and surnames in general.

Then why does your original reply post to me sounds and speaks like your "opinion" is the only one that matters on names?
It looks it is my failure then, I thought preceding most or all of my posts with 'In my opinion' was already implied, but that is apparently not true.

OK, it does defeat a bit the purpose of the thread but it kinda makes me smile, my university has actually a course about strategic studies ! TLDR military stuff, especially contemporary. Though I suspect the professor is specialized in geopolitcs.

COULD STILL POTENTIALLY BE LEFTIST but I don't know yet if I can actually do his course (Apply Euro-logic here).

But still would be interesting if as a Humanities/Language student and I could take the exam.

By the way, my last uni exam felt like I was speaking to a neocon. I received a 30 out of 30 score just by nodding my head and being a yesman for half an hour.

I detest doing that but I wanted to be easier for me and I am like "shut up, take the grade and run after this".
I did the same, when i was young.Grade do not helped me later, but it is another story.

As has been said, like the government wants a well educated critically thinking populace?
It still annoys me though. But I follow my own advice especially after my bachelor graduation.
But alas, I just shut up and nod and pretend I agree. Wheter I like it or not , fortunately or unfortunaly, I got so accostumed to said manners that I became professional in just faking into being a yesman.

Well when the person basically holds you hostage because they hold the money, it's just easier to smile and nod.
