Gun Political Issues Megathread. (Control for or Against?)

I assumed firearms would be transported with higher standards, especially given the known state of LA. Maybe via armored car?

Not really. Armored trucks are used to transport goods based on the value of the goods, not how dangerous they are.

Guns aren't cheap, a good handgun can be for or five hundred dollars and a rifle twice that, but in comparison to cash or jewelry the other stuff those trucks are used to haul, the value per volume (remember, armored trucks can't carry a lot compared to a normal truck or a semi) is very, very low.

This is a “leaked email” going around that alleges to show atf plans to go after rare breed triggers. Since when does an “official email” have typos in it!?

Worse, it made it’s way to a major guntuber who claimed the enforcement would start “tomorrow” (four days ago). What a jackass spreading FUD to nearly 1 million viewers. And the lack of updates with stories of ffls being accosted really gives the game away, doesn’t it?

When it's for internal use, not external eyes.

Or when someone fucks up and hits "send" before finishing correcting all their errors.

That said, you shouldn't see spell check lines unless you're the actual author of the e-mail, which is a point towards it being fake, unless Jennifer Cicolani is into career suicide.

The Second Amendment allowed private ownership and operation of full blown warships, much less field artillery.

Even today, you could 100% legally build your own main battle tank if you wanted to and sell them to other people as well.

And there are active tank (and artillery) rental ranges where you can go drive around tanks and shoot things with them.

Looks like mass popular guerilla warfare has failed to materialize in some parts of Ukraine. People are selling the weapons handed out to them by the Ukrainian military for money from the Russian occupiers. Mostly AKs, few AR15s.

Buybacks are dumb, Russian gun laws stupid, and any who would participate in them in any form but sabotage or trolling a fool--only moreso in the case of Russian gun laws and an occupation government (whether one supports said government or not).

Lithuania has better gun laws than CA, NY, MA, etc.
COMRADES! More progress on the Eastern Front!

Lithuania opening possession of automatic rifles at home to current members of the military, National Defence Volunteer Forces, or the Lithuanian Riflemen's Union.
And, for the last one, per wiki...
According to the law on the Lithuanian Riflemen's Union, any Lithuanian citizen who is over 11 and speaks the official language can join the Union.

A grand day for gun rights, a sad day for America. Seriously. Europeans with more rights than us? 'Tis aggravation of the highest caliber.

...You see what I did there? 'Highest caliber'? Eh?

Anyhow, the caveat is the Riflemen's Union is really small, and probably oversight things or caveats the Lithuanian MoD tweet doesn't get into. But still...
