Aside from all the other horrendous shit, the Nazis were a cultural and psychological disaster for the West, weren't they? You wouldn't believe how many arguments I get into with Neo-Nazis over how their shit stain of an ideology helped land us in this mess. Not to mention how it beggars belief that Fascists want to tie themselves to Nazism, when they really can throw their arms up and say "hey, this lot were butchering psychopaths. We aren't them."
Fortunately, I think "wolf" has been cried so many times that the word has lost a lot of its power. Hence why Nationalist parties are becoming more appealing across the continent. Nevertheless, reclaiming "Nationalism" from the Nazis must be one of the Right's highest priorities. And to see the German Right of all people do it is very heartening.
The rise of nationalism in Europe is going to get a whole lot bigger when the baby boomer generation retires in mass and they discover they dont have nearly enough money to support the welfair state and I dont think the migrants have any plans on paying their fair share in taxes.
