I'd say it's pretty likely that the roots of this deal still stem back from his time as mayor of Hamburg, and that most likely behind-the-scenes favors and money were exchanged. With all the talk about not being tied to autocratic regimes in lieu of Ukraine-Russia I suppose it would've been too hard to actually stick to your new stance and deny the deal. Spineless creatures.

Now, looking at the coming winter, my wife's been really worried for some time now with regards to blackouts. Me personally? I don't think it'll get that bad. Which, in and by itself, is a bad thing. As with CoViD and pretty much everything else under the sun, the powers that be most likely will somehow find a way to muddle through without total collapse. If there really were big and longer-lasting blackouts, those would actually ignite some of the long-simmering conflicts that the government and establishment media has worked very hard to suppress/ignore.

Because lets be real here, who would explode first once electricty and heating are gone in the middle of winter?
Timid fifty year old middle class Hans Mueller who usually works his 9-5 and stubbornly has been voting for the CDU or SPD since he's turned eighteen despite continously diminishing returns? Or maybe rather twenty-four year old Mohammad Ali, living quite luxuriously from German taxpayer money since 2016 in a house paid by the state, heating and electricty paid by the state, four brothers aned seven cousins living in the same street, possibly with combat experience from Syria, and zero loyalty to the undemanding host country? If shit really was to hit the fan, it'll be him, and all the others like him, who will be responsible for it (German antisocials not excluded). No matter how ideologized you are as a politician, at that point you would have no other option than to enact a more draconian immigration policy. Or simply (and worse for all) become more authoritarian as a whole.

Anyway, since there's still scaffolding on our house my wife's been scared for what could happen, so I got her one of these for when she's home alone. Super fun to shoot. For the Germans here reading this: even if you - as I - don't believe the winter will be apocalyptic it certainly doesn't hurt to have legal tools for self defense at home. Get them now.

Wind farm dismantled to make way for coal mine

German energy giant RWE is tearing down wind turbines to expand a neighboring coal mine to help deal with the country’s energy crisis. The area of the wind farm near the small town of Lützerath will be used to expand the Garzweiler opencast mine in North Rhine-Westphalia.

The wind farm has eight wind turbines. One wind turbine was dismantled last week, two more are due to be dismantled over the next year, and the final five will be dismantled by the end of 2023.

EDIT 2: Thankfully, "Ablenkungsmanöver" (meaning distraction tactic) is currently trending on the german twitter, so I assume that most normies can tell this is bullshit.

I am not convinced this wasn't a honest attempt. Germany is very, VERY far gone that people are getting desperate. Weimar isn't just a meme anymore.

This isn't just a couple of larpers. They were actually putting in work. They were reaching out to police and military to join and they even have a claimant to the throne with a pretty good pedigree (Heinrich XIII, from the House of Reuss. Family dates back to 12th century). The BBC article about it is very good, you can tell from the ammount of buzzwords and scare mongering how the powers that be feel about it.

Apparently, in germany, a bunch of nazis (they do have actual nazis, look up the NPD, but they are so few it's near irrelevant) basically go full Kaiser instead to hide nazi viewpoints, as those are illegal. So it's not impossible. I don't think that's the case though unless actual, verifiable, info comes out about it.

A far-right plot to bring down the German government in a violent coup has been destroyed.

This morning, 25 people were arrested in raids across the country against members of the ‘Reich Citizens’ movement, led by a self-declared 71-year-old prince called Heinrich XIII.

He is a well-known German aristocrat who it is believed rejects his country’s post-war constitution and wanted to be installed as the new leader.

The alleged plot involved a small armed group storming the Bundestag parliamentary building, echoing the US Capitol attack.

Heinrich’s family – the House of Reuss, which previously ruled part of eastern Germay – has previously distance itself from him, saying he was a confused man who pursued conspiracy theories.

More than 3,000 police and security officials were involved in this morning raid across 11 federal states, Austria and Italy.

They are believed to have been plotting the coup since November 2021, amassing equipment, recruiting members – primarily people with military and police background – and giving shooting lessons.

Prosecutors say the group knew there would be deaths which they deemed to be a ‘necessary intermediate step’ in gaining control.

They said Heinrich XIII contacted Russian officials with the aim of negotiating a new order in Germany once the government was overthrown.

It is alleged he was assisted in these talks by a Russian woman called Vitalia B.

Another female suspect, identified as Birgit M W, is reportedly a judge and former lawmaker with the far-right Alternative for Germany party.

Known by its acronym AfD, the party has increasingly come under scrutiny by security services due to its ties with extremists.

Another alleged ring leader is a 69-year-old former paratrooper called Reudiger v P.

Justice Minister Marco Buschmann described the raids as an ‘anti-terrorism operation’, adding the suspects may have planned an armed attack on state institutions.

Locations searched include the barracks of Germany’s special forces unit KSK in the south-western town of Calw, reports say.

The elite wing of the armed forces was dismantled in 2020 due to allegations of far-right extremism within its ranks.

One person has also been arrested in the Austrian town of Kitzbuehel and another in the Italian city of Perugia.

The suspects were aware their aim could only be achieved by military means and with force, prosecutors said.

They allegedly believed in a ‘conglomerate of conspiracy theories consisting of narratives from the so-called Reich Citizens as well as QAnon ideology’.

Prosecutors say the group think Germany is ruled by a so-called ‘deep state’ – echoing the baseless claims made by former President Donald Trump about the US.

Germany’s monarchy was abolished a century ago. When the Weimar Constitution entered into force on Aug. 14, 1919, the legal privileges and titles of German nobility were abolished. Officially, there are no princes and princesses in Germany.

If the monarchy had not been abolished, the ruler would be Georg Friedrich Ferdinand, Prince of Prussia.

TLDR:
German Prince Heinrich XIII Reuss of Greiz was arrested this morning, suspected of planning a coup d'état in Germany with at least 24 other people. The plan was to attack the German parliament in Berlin and insert the Prince as the new head of state, the Emperor of Germany.

The action is ongoing. The military was not involved but an armed coup was planned. Weapons have been confirmed seized by the police. 3000 police officers have arrested people in Germany associated with a right-wing group.

Of course 'Right-Wing' is hilariously vague. Also, given how much of a mess Germany is, pretty much anyone short of the god-damn Nazis would be an improvement over the leftoid globalists now running the show. At least in my opinion.

Ask yourself, would the German Govt have this type of reaction if monarchy still isn't a viable option in this day and age, one longed for by multitudes? Millions still long for strong rulers with fists of steel and hearts of iron to lead their nations into a victorious future.
