Not to involve myself in business that doesn’t concern me, but I must admit that the fact that the first and only video that was being circulated in the beginning seemed to be so carefully filmed and cut to make things look as bad as possible compared to the bodycam that was released wayyyy later and showed a much more nuanced truth definitely made me think.
I can’t really understand the raw emotions it could have evoked in American without the cultural and societal baggage, but from an outsider perspective, I would say there was a fair amount of manipulation involved at the very least.

To be fair, George Floyd's death made just about everyone mad and the mass demonstrations (NOT THE RIOTS) were understandable. I felt the urge to go march, too. If you're a human who feels empathy, watching that 9 minutes of hell is going to evoke all sorts of negative emotions.

Everything after that, I could see being a big democrat op. They've carefully covered for it, refused to even acknowledge it, called antifa a myth. Democrat mayors, governors, senators, reps, etc etc, all covered for this shit and all tried to call it mostly peaceful, while the left wing media machine played along, and the rest of the world watched the cities burn.

They wanted these riots. They wanted to use this movement to gain votes. They could not control these radicals, and now they're realizing it and backtracking. Too bad, we already watched them screw the pooch on this one. It's too late to walk it back.

While you're correct, Floyd's death wasn't extraordinary in any way. There was Tony Timpa, a white guy who died in exactly the same way 3 years prior (even worse, the cops were recorded joking about him while he was dying). And Floyd himself is not a very sympathetic figure, he was a junkie criminal who almost murdered a pregnant woman (although the media really really wanted to cover that up, what with showing photos of him smiling with his kid - whom he abandoned years ago with his mother).

So I think that, while the death 110% shouldn't have happened, any form of mass demonstrations couldn't have been a natural response to that event.

If there is no such thing as objective truth, then you can argue whatever position you want, and validity is determined by power. Power is determined by who can persuade the most people (and institutions) that they're right.

This is why the West has been going mad.

I know how you feel, I've had thoughts in my head I never dreamed that I would have (I mean dark knight joker meets rick sanchez thoughts) and i'm not sure what to do, guess maybe that's why I'm trying to play the game. The fact that the DA/AG in Minneapolis sat on the video *preceding* Floyd being on the ground for so long, is proof of that. If they were interested in calming an explosive situation, they would have immediately released that footage. But they didn't, cities burned, and over 30 people have died.

Because many of these post-modernists do not have moral standards outside of 'what I want.'
