There's also the fact of EU is considering deporting the 800000 Ukranians that are currently in EU countries, OR AT LEAST PART OF THEM. This a move proposed by one guy that is being echoed in the EU parliament, but wheter they will manage it is another beast entirely. I don't think any of the common folk in the countries I know and speak the language of would approve of such a move, most likely because it could open a Pandora's box that never was open to begin with.

Also because Ukranians, barring some incidents, have demonstrated to be decent guests.

IF they DEPORT Ukranians, then the EU govs will look competent against folks that don't actually deserve it.

And people will start wondering WHY they are NOT DEPORTING people who don't deserve to be in here (criminals of any sort, theocrats and socioeconomic leeches), what in German Marxism you would call Lumpenproletariat , the kind of people that are underclass but work against THE underclass. The useful tools of cosmopolitan elites in our case.

AND if they act like the farmers, well...nation consciousness start to arise.

Also, it would set a precedent to open up again what amounts to "legally forced" conscription and re-introducing military service in countries that haven't seen such a thing in three decades.

They don't care. These are people who don't actually have to deal with them beyond maybe a restaurant or something along those lines, or who know full well that these people are simply there to disrupt. The useful idiots only care because they are classified as "oppressed."
I don't think they don't care, I think they are blissfully unaware like that protester that was pro-Palestinian until he discovered from actual Palis that NO, they DON'T ACCEPT LGBTs in Gaza or the West Bank.

Still doesn't excuse them.

There is no decline

Since high school...well I lost count around ten. I have lost many personal, direct friends, not just associates, to the opiod crisis.

I had some addiction issues in my past. Mostly alcohol, but I'd pop the occasional pills. This could have been me. Glad I got out of that life.

Most of the time i "lost" them way before they died. Because they took their lives in that direction, and chose to live that way. Only a matter of time until they show up in an obituary.

I just lost one last month. And you know what's most fucked up about it? I didn't even feel sad, or bother going to the funeral. It's just happened so much that I am desensitized to it. Just another one gone. Saw that coming. Most of the time it's only one way out for these people, and that's in a coffin.

I don't even celebrate people getting sober anymore because 95% of them relapse. Whether it's in a few months or a few years. I know like 3 people who have stayed sober for more than 5 years. In fact most of the people who die are sober people relapsing.

It's pathetic. I have basically lost my empathy in this situation.
