To relate it to advertising, I use adblock on browsers, use the mute button on the rare occassion I watch TV, and when I'm listening to the radio I channel surf or turn it off when ads start. It isn't particularly hard to cut most of the advertising out of your life, and if you willingly expose yourself to it continuously, that's your fault.
My man, so many people have been brainwashed before adblocking became popular, that they aren't even aware of adblockers being a thing.
I can't speak for every country, but in my country the education profession is filled with people unaware that you can block ads.
And, well, zoomers have the attention span of a goldfish, I'm not too sure if they know how to adblock either.
At some point people become helpless to their own instincts, advertising/propaganda works because we figured out how human brains worked a longggggggggggg time ago.
Everyone is variably resistant to propaganda. Nobody is immune.

Literally any sane school of ethics suggests that you should involve yourself in problems in your immediate community, especially if they violate your principles, and if the problems are likely to negatively impact you.
The problem with eugenics is that all of the reasonalbe issues are already solved by human instincts, primarily disgust.

Ha. epic response.

err.
...assuming you are humorously misinterpreting his statement as pertaining to eugenics.
When he is actually arguing that we need to discourage "consumerism" in individuals. which he defines as individuals from buying electronics or other products we disapprove of.

I thought he meant legislatively discourage but he recently said that this is not what he meant by discourage.

I don't know whether this should be here or in "amused" because of how badly this kid and his mother wreck this Leftoid teacher.
I'll go with this thread because it highlights how much of a fucking indoctrination camp system your schools have become.
This smug bitch needs to be fired, but we all know that shan't happen.
Edit: Even the Colorado Governor has called her and the school district out for being fucking morons. This is gold! Maybe I should've posted it in Amused instead...?

Ouch, damn. XD

>Bans mass produced chinese plastic straws
>Replaces them with mass produced chinese paper straws
>They contain ball-cancer inducing chemicals
Who would've thought the country that would cut the corners off a circle, produces garbage!?

As someone who really hates waste...

Paper straws are fucking stupid and not worth it. If you really care that much just make your coffee at home and use a reusable mug.

So..the house needs to Vote to start to Impeach Biden. WTF?

Impeachment inquiry.

The house needs to vote to start asking about impeachment Biden.

The Dems didn't vote to start impeaching Trump.

It's pretty clear that an impeachment procedure wouldn't get any results at the moment anyway. So with nothing to gain from actually playing hard-ball, it's a decent move to draw attention to the fact that the Democrats are authoritarian dickwads who unilaterally start impeachment procedures without even listening to the people's representatives, while the Republicans obviously do things the proper manner.

At the moment, playing it like that makes you look good and makes the opponents look extra bad (since "abuse of power" has been their running theme for a while now).

Naturally, if things change and you suddenly have a majority in favour of impeachment-- immediately ditch the claims of propriety, and go right for the jugular. "Being the good guy" is only the smart option when "crushing them mercilessly" isn't on the table anyway. Republicans suffer from a serious inability to grasp that (even though the Democrats obviously do get it, and live by it). But at the moment, playing things like this isn't a mis-step.
