I was going to write up (yet again) an essay explaining exactly why communism MUST and can ONLY lead to evil. And why the communist fantasy is literally impossible.

But then I thought... "hang on a minute. surely I am not the only human with a brain".

Lo and behold. It took me moments to find a writeup which is literally exactly the same argument I came up with myself. Turns out I am indeed not the only human in the world with a functional brain.
Fundamental to communist ideology is the common ownership of the means of production and abolishment of social classes and social hierarchy. In practice, that means no (or very few) private property rights, and forced redistribution of wealth from those who are most able to produce to those who are less able or unwilling to do so.

Private property and the exclusive access to the fruits of one's own labor are fundamental human rights under natural law. In order for communism to be moral, it requires everyone to voluntarily cooperate with each other towards a common goal. Unfortunately, people do not work this way. They are different in their ambitions, in their capabilities, and in their values. These differences cause different outcomes, cause some to be more successful than others, and even cause differences by which success is measured in the first place. But communism requires collectivism in order to work. Communism must eliminate those variations of the individual in order to harmonize with the collective good. This is absolutely counterintuitive to everything about human nature.

In order to realize communist goals, private property and the individual's right to their own labor must be seized from them for the sake of the collective. And because this is antithetical to individual freedom, communist governments must also work to eliminate dissent. Once a government is committed to the principle of silencing the voice of opposition, it has only one way to go, and that is down the path of increasingly repressive measures until it becomes a source of terror to all its citizens and creates a country where everyone lives in fear.

In light of the authoritarian oppression of every communist regime in the history of ever, there are those who still make the argument that the idea of communism is good; it's just been "done wrong" by every communist state that has attempted it. However, this is not true. Communism is a fundamentally flawed ideology at its core. Its goals are attractive in principle, but completely unworkable in practice.

Communist governments must necessarily use coercion to achieve the social harmony they promise, depriving the individual of the right to choose their own destiny -- especially if those choices lead to better outcomes for them than for others. This is why every communist state has been a totalitarian nightmare replete with rampant and gross human rights violations. That is the inevitable destiny of any communist regime because it is utterly and completely incompatible with individual freedom and conscience.

If your communism fantasy includes:
+abolish money
+perfect equity
+no ruling class
+freedom and happiness for all with no evil abusive government

then your fantasy is self contradictory.
Someone must take the role of enforcer who slaughters those who wish to benefit from the fruits of their own labor. And that someone is now the ruling class of an absolute totalitarian nightmare state where human rights have been abolished and massive violence has been normalized.

If nobody steps into that role. Then your communism fails simply by virtue of most people saying "no" when asked to donate 100% of their property

Communism entire premise is to appoint a new ruling class of mass murderer thieves. And be surprised that replacing your ruling class with literal bandits creates bad results.

To start, this is utterly irrelevant to my original point: that the capitalist elements of the American economy are what lead to gay rights. Communist countries do have capitalist elements (because communism doesn't work), which is how they last longer than the 4 years that the Khmer Rouge did. That's evidence that capitalism works. Similarly, the small gay businesses and the eventual targeting of the niche market that is LGBT are both capitalist in nature (i.e. responses to market demands), not communist (the government or a central planner didn't plan these out).

But also, it's just wrong! It's wrong on 2 levels. First, Literal communism refers to the definition of communism from Marx, which banned all of those things. Had you said literal communist countries, you would have been closer. Second, There are many communist countries that have done away with banks. Some have done away with property. But more, some have even done away with money, such as Pol Pot's Cambodia.

On a different subject, this is interesting even though I don't trust the guy on everything, just as I don't trust everything that Carlson or Dore would say or report.

See, cherico is always in here with basically the same post. Something like "there are actual legal consequences here" and when he gets told nothing is going to happen to these people, he responds with something about modernity and how the pendulum will swing back to traditionalist views in like 80 years.

The point of my post being that I expect absolutely nothing to happen to Amazon over this, legally.

Going to sound controversial but it seems like one of those events where a (overworked and frankly exploited) urban youf working at Amazon just wanted to get some petty revenge on the world, deciding that obviously the homeowner must be some 'racist ass cracka'.

I base this entirely on the fact the driver's race/name has not been revealed thus far to my knowledge.
