We really need to toughen up on crime.
That's not necessarily the issue though I agree with the sentiment.

The issue is that our laws and the enforcement of them is being deliberately undermined.

What's the point of stopping criminals if they will immediately be released by a leftist AG or released with cashless bail. Or why should police even try to be good cops when if ANYTHING happens while doing so they could go to prison for life.

And criminals aren't stupid. If you remove any negative consequences for crime then they will jump on it.

Ensure police fair protection, actually enforce the laws, make sure that crime has actual consequences, and get rid of the people purposefully sabotaging us and most of this nonsense will go away.

We don't really have to get tougher on crime. Just make sure that something actually happens instead of the current deliberate nothing. Or even worse, forcing law enforcement to go after the stores or people defending themselves and others.

Its less that 'we need to toughen up on crime' and more 'we need to actually punish all crimes, and not defend crimes that further our political goals'.

People ask stupid questions like "I just don't understand why this is happening! How can these stores be robbed like this? Why is nobody doing anything about it?"

Well what the hell do YOU (the hypothetical person, not literally you) think is going on!? What? is it all just a giant coincidence? Lets not be coy, people WANT this to happen. EVIL people, NASTY people.

Semantics.

Actually enforcing the laws is synonymous with toughening up on crime.

Letting criminals go without enforcing the laws is softening up on crime.

Eh, it's just a issue of semantics and two people with slightly different definitions I suppose.

I would consider toughening up on crime as passing stricter laws and harsher punishments. Which I feel is unnecessary as the current laws are sufficient just not enforced.

So I don't think we actually disagree in practice. Just in defining terms.

Either way, we're both right.

The funny thing here, to me, is that this used to be the standard of how all stores worked. Look at any western, the shop keep gathered the goods and brought them to the counter to be purchased, everything wasn't just out where the customer gathered their own goods.

This model was largely discarded because a store could handle more customers with fewer employees if the customers were doing the heavy lifting of gathering the purchases, and losses to theft were low enough to warrant that once society became more stable and lawbreaking was reduced. Now that lawbreaking is rising above that threshold, we're adopting the wild west model of business again.

Which one was that again? The one with the Terry A. Davis photo?
Paraphrased from 4chan said:
We [Americans] were the least racist generation for decades, and even then what little racism remained was on a steady decline on the whole in society.

We have Black idols in the forms of singers, actors/actresses, celebrities, politicians, rappers, and prominent public figures.

We lowered our guards, embraced Blacks as just Americans and our friends/family without seeing the colour of their skin, and we judged them as people/their character as we would anyone else... and then they collectively stabbed us all in the back.

On the whole, they proved the stereotypes that our racist great-grandparents used to rave on about around the Thanksgiving Table, the people we used to roll our eyes at and put up with as they had diatribes, completely correct.

Those relatives are probably eating crow, right now.

And now they're wondering why racism against Black people is again rising dramatically; why people are now viewing Black people on the whole so negatively as they were decades on decades ago, despite supporting hypocritical groups like Burn, Loot, and Murder as they go utterly apeshit in cities; questioning why there's such a wide divide growing again, despite their "attempts" at forcing "equality" (aka anti-White racism).

They're like toddlers who stick their hands on a burning coal, scream in pain, and then stick their hands back onto the coal, confused as to why they're burnt/in pain.

Yup. This is also how stores worked in communist countries, until supermarket\minimarket style ones became more common around 15-25 years after.

Ah, I had something else in mind then, @Jormungandr. The one where Anon explains how the USA is obsessed with black people.
Well, from differing perspectives it sort of is -- on the Left you've basically got a resurgence in Black Power and communism, and on the Right you've either got normal, sane people of all ethnicities wanting the aforementioned Black Power bullshit to be nipped in the bud or the more extreme elements acting like racist stereotypes straight out of the early 20th.

This isn't even going into the police racially profiling Black people... which, given the statistics, is sometimes valid (and that's the sad part -- that the suspicion and stereotyping has something to it).

When I hear of a shooting in the US? I either think a) another school shooter from someone mentally ill, b) a cop shooting someone, which may or may not have been justified, or c) Black guy being the perp.

Judging by the photo, looks like she was a mother still caring for her babies, too. :(

In any case, who else dreads the blowback Anarcho-Tyranny will invite? Even without fraught race relations, lots of people are terrified and increasingly distrustful of traditional law enforcement to do their job. Naturally, you can bet on skyrocketing vigilantism and revenge killings in retaliation — despite Blue lawmakers’ selective crackdowns and the Corporate Media kicking the anti-self-defense fearmongering into overdrive.

Have you seeing these families who whine and cry when their "innocent boy who dindu nuffin" gets domed while trying to break into someone's home? And the pigs in uniform, the ones from the cities, they only care about saving their own skin and collecting the paycheck from their masters. I don't care anymore. I'm washing my hand of the fallout hitting these people.
