Five minutes of hate news

Yes I know Milley did worse, but court martiallying him is a LOT harder then it is someone else lower. There are things to get that in place, but with just a single year left for Milley, it would be more beneficial to let him finish his term
'Don't punish wrongdoing for senior leadership because it's too hard' is...very bad reasoning?

Like...It is diametrically opposite of how it should be set up. Senior leadership screw-ups should garner MORE swift and brutal reprisal than lower-end. That's a fundamental part of how good hierarchies work.

And I mean...We can go off the operating assumption that 'The US military is not a good hierarchy and corrupt', but that's contradicting your other point?
Legitimately confused on this as a defense or justification.

No it isn't.
But you don't know anything.

Appeals to authority don't have value anywhere, especially when people have eyes and can see the absolute and total subversion of the military happening in real time.

So yes we do know what we are talking about.

and you have no legitimacy to tell us otherwise. Because you're inside the machine and that makes anything you say and any claim.you assert unreliable at best.

It would be more beneficial to let a traitor who blatantly overthrew the President and collaborated with a hostile foreign power than it would be to try him for treason, convict him and sentence him accordingly.

Doncha know!

Because it takes people of the same or higher rank position to give yoh that article.
No one above Milley will do that. That is the Main reason.

Hmm.
If the people above milley were willing to court martial him we wouldn't have this conversation.
It is almost like the mikitary is top down for a reason.

Next year Milley will no longer be CJCS.
We will have someone new

This is corroboration and not refutation.

And he won't be in prison awaiting sentencing.

Ergo no justice will be done.

Ergo there is no legitimacy.

This isn't special treatment -- the appointment of flag rank officers has always been political on the civilian end, and that means that their removal has political impact. General MacArthur wasn't charged and court-martialed for openly rebelling against Presidential authority and communicating with foreign diplomats, including enemy ones, behind the President's back to force America into a nuclear war because he was so popular that he was basically untouchable. MacArthur was only removed from command positions that he held at the President's discretion, and that was still something the President took substantial political damage from doing.

Milley should be removed and court martialed

Too bad MacArthur wasn't the American Caesar people accused him of being.

America would have been objectively better off under a MacArthur run junta than under Truman or Kennedy or Johnson.
Julius Caesar was better at politics than he was at generalship. If you look at his campaigns it seems like he's either getting himself into a precarious situation or extracting himself from the mess he got himself into. He very good at utilizing Rome's seemingly bottomless manpower pool.

MacArthur was similar minus the clout needed to do practically whatever he wanted.

Both eventually went too far and the leash (Roman Senate and US President respectively) replied with "nope, that's enough" and got rid of them.

The US was made to NOT have a Junta in charge of it.
A reason people are not happy with Milley.
We arnt supposed to be a political institution

Miley isn't a leader of a military Junta. He is the attack dog of Nancy Pelosi and Barrack Obama who installed a Vichy puppet.

Also the US has been under dictatorship 3 times in its history prior to this Lincoln, FDR and LBJ.

You do know Milley wasn't CJCS until 2019 right?

We haven't had a decent congress ever, as far as I can recall. No matter who's in charge, it's always more interested in serving the interests of the elites than the American people; so the odds of Milley's replacement being any better than him are nil.
I am just letting you know how we have a chance
