. . . KotOR had a perfectly fine combat system that made perfect sense for anyone who had played Neverwinter Nights or knew that at the time the main tabletop RPG for Star Wars was d20 Star Wars. It was a standard d20 conversion that Bioware had been making for years, and it worked perfectly fine for KotOR.

Eh, I wouldn't say it worked fine. The underlying mechanics were basically just d20, yes. But the implementation was really clunky, and the system wasn't balanced in the slightest so late game combat got extremely boring and repeative.

I think it was totally acceptable for its time. It's clunky NOW, but back when it released it was great.

All of this Florida talk in the Fallout thread. So many people here are getting excited talking about the next great computer RPG game, Grand Theft Auto VI.

Never was really sure why the south got stuck with the inbreeding meme when that sort of thing historically was more prevalent in the north

So I’ve been looking into the lore of Fallout a bit more, and as fascinating as he and his army is, I get the distinct impression that a fully fledged Neo-Roman Empire would have done a lot better than Caesar’s Legion.

Edward managed to conquer and build a civilization in New Mexico, Arizona and Colorado in twenty five years. That is a pretty impressive feat tbh especially when one considers he started with one backwards tribe that had originally imprisoned him.
