Kind of also implies everyone who doesn’t subscribe to their weird brand of “moderate” must therefore be an “extremist” — even though that’s largely them projecting, as well as ginning up actual extremists in the form of the Far-Left.

That, and assuming I recall correctly, Appeal to Moderation is one of many logical fallacies they deceive the public with, so just because they claim to be “moderates” does not in any way, shape, or form mean they have the correct solutions. Not that most people realize that, hence Dave pointing it out so frustratedly.
