Election 2020 Election 2020: It's (almost) over! (maybe...possibly...ahh who are we kidding, it's 2020!)

I don't even like the GOP.

Also I am not a fan of Trump's personality.

But the democrats are worse, and what Trump was running on, and has accomplished, despite his personality, is stuff I like. Unemployment shrinking, wages raising(including low end wages,) without need for minimum wage hikes, better trade deals, peace in the middle east, secure borders, healthy stock market, a bulwark against the woke, pro worker, tax cutting, pro people policy. Good, good, good.

If Trump is gone, I hope the future GOP conservatives realize that they DO have a winning message. They need to use it.

The GOP as the pro blue collar, pro industrial, pro working class party, is a party who will continue to trounce Woke SJW authoritarian welfare state communistic leftists.

That's why I liked Pence a lot at the debate. He was able to be Trump platform without Trump personality.

The choice is between an increasingly crazy and orwellian democratic party who mixes the worst aspects of Woke bullshit, socialism, and corperate corruption.

I dont even like a lot of trumps platform I just want due process rights, free speech, be able to defend my life and property if attacked and left the fuck alone. Historically speaking I am not doing a big ask here.

Yeah, Trump has many flaws. I understand a desire to put him on a pedestal, to think that he is both a paragon of competence and character, but I don’t think that either is true. Such a huge number of Americans have been disenfranchised for so long, by both the Republican and Democrat Party establishment who hold working class conservative Americans in complete contempt. Then a guy comes along who actually speaks to those people, who speaks for them. It feels great to see that guy as a hero and not, well, whatever Donald Trump actually is.

So I voted for him, but I’m no Trump fan-girl. I also disagree with some of his policies as well as those of the GOP base.

That said, the Democrats and the modern left in general has become insane and evil. They are social radicals who hate white people, men, traditional families, traditional nations, and Western civilization as a whole. Simultaneously they are utterly in the pocket of huge corporations and work to enrich billionaires at the cost of everybody else while sprinkling crumbs to the poor pretending how compassionate they are.

Trump’s mixture of merits and flaws is still so much better than the forces who oppose him.

The reason I voted for Trump was to pull us out of the middle east. One issue you may say but we have been there NEARLY WHOLE GENERATION! We need to pull the fuck out of there to help American lives
Yes! Absolutely. That is one of the main reasons I supported Trump both times. I’ve been an anti-war noninterventionist for years, in fact I was against war back when being anti-war was regarded as a leftist position. Now, apparently, opposing needless war means that you’re a servant of Putin.

I am against a needless war for te warhawks in the Government. If it is needed, like say Desert Storm, or Korea, those are perfectly fine! Just not keep us there for 19 years.

Ending wars was part of why I voted for Obama.

And to be fair, he tried with iraq. But he did it in A sloppy way and the power vacuum left behind helped allow isis to thrive.

I still remain against these middle east wars.

That's a point for Trump.

I am against Desert Storm, I’m undecided about Korea, maybe not that either. If we are to go to war, we should at least declare war, which we haven’t done since WWII.

Yeah, staying there for 19 years is crazy.

Obama just....made it so he could bomb people himself via drone instead of soldier lives.

I am not against Desert Storm, as it was Iraq invading Kuwait, and ally of ours. It was also a Joint war with the UN/NATO, just like Korea. The Korean war is actually a very important win for the US, it allowed us to prevent the fall of South Korea and Communism from gaining a major foothold inanother Asian country. Because unlike Vietnam, they would still have a dictator and a member of the Kim dynasty.
Korea was in some eyes, the last real non controversial War America had.

Literally, South korea would not exist, they were barley able to defend themselves during the invasion.

19 years is to long. We should have left years ago.

Trump seems to be having troops set to leave, which makes me happy.

Regarding Obama as a dove, and Nobel Peace Prize winner 🙄, we also need to remember his support for the Syrian Civil War, which lead to hundreds of thousands of deaths, turned millions of people into refugees, caused untold suffering and expenses - and was all done undemocratically against the will of the American people and without support of their representatives. Then we have Hillary Clinton’s Julius Caesar moment in Libya, another nation that was no threat to us and that was stable and reasonably moderate that the USA and allies regime changed into a hell hole.

There is also arming ISIS, drone strikes in Yemen, and who knows what other activities that continued in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize far more than Obama did.

The media never focused on his bad!

I've known UA for a while, and have had my differences with him. I've even been quite angry with him over some of his actions regarding some members who I consider friends.

That said, He pisses off both sides plenty. He's not just a typical lefty troll.

He's a genuine guy, and is typically friendly. What you see is what you get. I believe he is telling the truth as he understands it.

You guys should consider disagreeing with him politely. The guy just likes to talk and debate, even if he can be a bit verbose. He's a good addition to the site. A rational counterpoint to our right wing bias, and adds additional content to the site. I am of the opinion that he is valuable as a member. (Even if he is IRL friends with people who I believe are trolls)

I don't believe thers are any ulterior motives or bad faith on his behalf.
I've known him for years myself; and to put it mildly, I do not share your high opinion of the man.

Obama and Hillary near single handedly destroyed Libya. Obama’s drone wars were in at least three or four countries, and Obama also supported the color revolution in Ukraine, dramatically increasing tensions with Russia. We nearly overthrew Assad in 2013 and Obama conducted the failed surge in Afghanistan.

Thing is, the anti war left was quite critical of Obama. But the media and the bulk of the Democratic Party was not.

By the end of his term, the anti war movement was “defanged” according to its own leaders by Obama.

That isn’t to say Trump was or is a peacenik, but we didn’t thankfully invade or bomb Iran, or overthrow yet another middle eastern government.

when did it become an accomplishment to say you havent gotten the country in another war?

And here we see what the Dems truly want to do to Trump and anyone in his administration. Nice of the Rep to say it directly

They will do the same to Trump supporters if he loses, they will come for you in any way they can justify or get away with. Do not expect the Constitution or Bill of Rights to mean a damn thing if Biden cheats his way into the White House.
