Election 2020 Election 2020: It's (almost) over! (maybe...possibly...ahh who are we kidding, it's 2020!)

Yes, I’ve read the story.

You know the stories, you know the teachings you know the warnings and yet you still embrace with open arms. May God help you cause clearly no one here can.

It's the very real implied consequences of Biden/a Democratic Presidency that have people worried.

Let's face it: if Biden wins because of their trickery and get away with said trickery, the Democrats are going to use every ounce of power they have, legal or otherwise, ethically or not, to not lose power again and/or to culturally and forcibly reshape America to their "ideal" society.

And, frankly, their "ideal society", outside of the obvious communist elements, is fucking terrifying to anyone with more than half a brain.

See, unlike the delusional hysteria the Left had on Trump's initial election in '16, our concerns have basis in reality.

Perhaps but we still need to do what the heroes of old did when they were in captivity. Ender, outlast and prosper where we can so that when the season inevitable ends we aren't at square zero. But we don't seem to want to just prosper, we ourselves seem to want to be of the elite class. The aristocrats under the tutalidge under a godking. I'm beginning to suspect it's not priciples in which the right stands on, but jealousy.

Yes times are going to be rough, are we going to outlast them or are we just going to pout for anothe 40 years waiting for a new figure head to once again not meet our mythological expectations of Christ on earth.

Which means that you guys are unlikely to do much and just accept what the left will do. Thats my default opinion on whats going to happen. The Right has yet to prove me wrong on this opinion. Hence why I say that I will believe it when I see it. All other talk is just talk.
Jesus Christ and I’m the Doomer for some reason.

The right is not well organized and has awful leaders. We know what the costs are, while being hampered by institutional failure.

Also in a shocking news bulletin, most people don’t want civil war. Because that not only means they might die, but their children and families might die or be forced to flee. Conservatives have families you know, that they actually have to provide for.

Taking up civil war puts people they care about more than themselves at real risk.

The difference is that I have no depression about this. Again, I'm not a right winger. I used to be a left winger.

What I say I say cause thats what the right wing has done for years. Like why are you guys so eager to try and get me to accept that the right wing will rise up with your talk? Talk is cheap. Do it or don't do it. Its that simple.

So nothing will happen which is what I have been saying.

if you are trying to prove me wrong? You are doing a bad job on it.

I'm defenitly more of a right winger (Though clearly not near as right as many of the people on here) but what these last 4 years have showed me is that we can fight and make ground if we bothered to give the effort to do so. the problem is we don't.

Exactly. I don't claim to be any different but I have the excuse that I don't live in the US or the West in general and thus can't affect much of anything.

Interesting that the fact checks switched from "official sources" to "multiple sources"

You know, one thing I’d appreciate is if more Trump supporters just admitted they want trump to be an autocrat. There is actually nothing wrong with it.

“We don’t want a president in our hearts, we want a king”.

That’s not an immoral sentiment to have.

It’s just embarrassing in our democracy worshipping society to admit.

People throughout history have cried out for kings, or autocratic rulers.

Heck in the Bible, the Israelites want a king, not a judge.

Often times an autocrat is more in touch with the people’s spirit, what their hearts want than any elected leader.

And all that is true. I for one am in favour of monarchy. Pokle dobri kralj Matijaš spi, nikakve pravice ni! is an old Croatian saying that has, sadly, remained true since 1990s, and I'd say even since 15th century. Problem is bureocracy: a monarchy can be bureocratic and thus out of touch, but democracy has to be so.

Well, when I have time, I will continue espousing benefits of monarchy. Till then!

Trump's ego aside, Twitter never fails to disgust me.
"Multiple sources"? Oh, you mean mainstream media? smh

Their hubris is hilarious, as the saying goes pride comes before the fall and they are full of it and false pride at that. I would love to see their pride be their own undoing. And also I would like to see them undone for the old meaning of hubris, their arrogance and the resulting actions...

Makes you think, doesn't it? :devilish:

It does, makes me think of many things. Like that scene from the birds...

You guys can start getting demoralized if you don’t get anything this week.
That's my read of the situation as well. If nothing happens by the end of this week, it will only get likelier and likelier that Biden will win from then on.
