Election 2020 Election 2020: It's (almost) over! (maybe...possibly...ahh who are we kidding, it's 2020!)

(Grumbles) Alright, alright. Fine, I’ll leave him be.

And I never said that I think everyone who still thinks the system doesn’t have rot in it is a leftist.
I am not a mod but I would say you can engage him with ideas not ad homenim, but doing what reddit does won't help anything. Encourage the cases, but what exactly would they win? A lame duck position in a government where half the population regards the other half of trying to disenfranchise them, and vice versa. The idea that anything can happen in the next 4 years is now a joke because neither the senate nor the states have any reason to cooperate. And given some states are open and some are closed, the power to ignore is a rather powerful one.

If there is a watermark on all the ballots. We still have to wait and see. For instance, mine did not ave any as I had mine emailed to print out.

I also had to put in my Social and or Drivers License and sign my name.
Not all watermarks are meant to be seen easily, it isnt hard to put code in a document that puts an ID in it. For instance all printers do it by default.

Just find a way to distract yourself and relax. I am doing that so I can calm my nerves
I have already relaxed. Still rooting for a win, but if it doesn't happen, I'm not getting on my knees and screaming nooo. I remember Clinton and Obama.

BTW, even though there has been a meltdown here, it has been somewhat mild - maybe a bit worse than the weeping and gnashing of teeth in 2008 and 2012, but not even resembling what I saw in 2016. You had people doing emo poetry on the election thread in SB, no one here has even got close to this level of cringe.

Because we are civilised people/s

We can take a punch to the jaw, plus the Senate and house races help keep us positive

I’m not a troll. I’m a conservative who wants transfer of power to go peacefully and more importantly, make sure the environment gets more pro Republican before Georgia Senate runoffs. That way we are in a better position moving forward in a post Trump party.

A position I can respect on the surface of it. Trump has revitalized the party in ways we never could have imagined. Come what may, the Rep Party and Conservatives have been renewed with a new path forward. One not grounded in globalism, cynicism and always ceding ground.

Now it's a more Nationist/Populist, freedom and libertarian based and reaching across multiple demographic lines. It has turned the Leftist narrative on its head and made a mockery of it.

And I am forever thankful to him for that.

I still can't believe there wasn't some kind of open identification for mail in ballots. What has it always been on the honor system? I just figured it was like you mailed it with the proof of registration and chain of custody and anonymity started when it was received at the polling station. You know like an actual ballot system.

Figured it was just like a sealed envelope with your vote and registration information in one mail.

The problem is it was historically up to the states. Some states would keep their systems secure and others would not, and this would happen. Prior to the fed expanding beyond its role, who was president didn't matter much to the average person so it wasn't a big deal, since the state elections were more likely to be fixed. And people who wanted freedom would move to the frontier or another state.

In GA you have to sign a sheet saying it is you are someone allowed to fill it out for you. It goes to match your signature from the past.

So they haven't updated security since 1920 is what you are saying?

I think one of the things that pisses me off most is that even with Trump pulling through i doubt we will ever know the exact totals he won or lost by. I was really curious if the past 4 years of attacks by the media and big tech were effective or impotent. I know Trump had more voters but 'apparently' so did Biden, combine that with my doubts we will ever know the real numbers of fraud............
I was really looking forward to being able to mock the last few years of the elites attacks as either pointless or even counter productive.
