Scots aren't happy.
While I definitely think boycotts work, in this case, that's retarded. What happens when the power companies just OTA updates to their smart meters and just turn off the power to all those people. When they couldn't do this at the push of a button this strategy might have worked. Now? Lol no.

5 years at most, but I'm betting on 18 months.
Sooner, I'm betting.

Serbia has moved more troops and gear towards Kosovo. The EU will splinter over that sort of fight, and it might escalate beyond that due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

History may yet repeat, and the spark may be 'some damn fool thing in the Balkans' yet again, particularly with Ukraine's situation and Serbia's ties to Russia.

If it escalates like that...welp, depends of if Putin truly thinks he can cause a nuclear war and still have there be a Russia state 100 years from now that worship's him, as he seems to desire.

So. The current order is due for a reshuffling at a moment's weakness.

Pretty much.

The whole thing with Taiwan and China is also worrisome, but China and Xi aren't Putin level deluded or terminally glory seeking in the short term. They cannot hide the bank issues from their people, and launching on Taiwan while a bank crisis is happening won't fly with the Chinese populace whole are already on edge and experiencing a drought.

However, your avatar tells me you at least have some inkling of what might be to come.

This is the time to start figuring out if you want to try to survive a mass nuclear conflict in the next...decade or so, or would prefer to actually be closer to the big targets, so you don't survive the first exchange.

My avatar was following the forum's seasonal theme. I just didn't change it after the competition was finished.

World is weird like that.

Let's just say that letting kids play Fallout will likely give them better survival skills, and a better test of character, than sending them to public schools. Also will give them a phys-ed introduction in hardcore, economics with caps, and heath/addition/injury avoidance education

WW3 is pretty much a when, not an if, now. Betting on it staying non-nuclear is...long odds against human greed, spite, and rage.

Then he is delusional.
Current "Russia" is two cities - Moscov and Petersburg - with lots of smaller filled with dudes who do not matter and would follow anybody who order them.
Destroy those 2 cities, and there would be no any state left.

When USA,after loosing Washington and New York, would be better and stronger state.

So. The current order is due for a reshuffling at a moment's weakness.

EU would fall becouse of economy before 2030,USA before 2040.
So,we would have short victorious war with lots of H bombs before that.

Maybe that is why Putin want war - he want use his arsenal till it is still working. And,if he survive in his bunker,it would be kind of victory.

The 3rd largest Russian city is Новосибирск (Novosibirsk). The capital of Puerto Rico has more people and is the 35th largest American city.

Well, not New York, too many economic shenanigans are headquartered there for the business system to stay intact, and if that goes we sadly don't have things set up to just build another before things get truly abominable.

Never was.

It was convenient, not essential.

Essential is New Orleans, Houston, and Pittsburg.
Eh, wrong.

The US could lose all three to nukes and shrug it off.

- New Orleans is below sea level and a hurricane can flatten the city, again. (see: Katrina)
- There really isn't much in Houston the US needs except for NASA mission control.
- Pittsburg? You're joking, right? Let me laugh harder. We could lose Pittsburg to a nuke and I might not even notice or care.
