Next year, the functions of President of the European Council, President of the European Commission, and Secretary-General of NATO will all become available. And Rutte is considered a serious contender for all three.

As it just so happens.

Boy I lost count how many EU rats are hoping to get those two jobs.

I think there also from the DP of Italy wanting them.

did you ever wonder if the reason why the EU is so garbage is because they keep sending their trash into the EU's governing bodies?

It is not garbage. It is IV Reich in building.
Eveytching is according to plan - for german Europe.
This time they are smarter and are doing it without war,BUT....it seems, that they fuck it again.

They lost part of their territory after each WW they lost, but now it seems, that they would become Sultanate and cease to exist.
Prussian genius in action.

If fucking only.

A European Union that grounded itself in profoundly ancient, Roman, roots, and embraced a quiet yet grand Christianity, would probably be a great deal more respected.

Were I president of the EU, I’d move the capital to Rome and have classical Latin be the lingua Franca of the continent.

I had to study Latin in high school so no thank you to either.

We have already two shitty institutions in Rome and those are the Italian parliament and the office of the mayor of Rome.

Does it look like my country wants a third turd ?

The holy Roman Empire managed to last for centuries and protected european civilization from attacks from the islamic world for hundreds of years, the EUs track record on that is much worse thus far.

Considering that Turkey might enter the EU just to allow Sweden to join NATO yeah you could be right...

Don’t encourage his anti-German hate-boner.

Never mind the fact that modern Germany is scarcely German in many ways that count.
Not anti-german,but anti-prussian.Or,to be precise,anti prussoan-like elites.
And i want made norman germans free again in their own states, like Saxony. We never had problems with them.

About Germany - it changed, but remaoned the same in all ways which matter - they still want to controll Europe, still belive in their divine right to enslave Poland, and still are stupid enough to made deals with Moscov.

If they ever succed, they would be second to gulags after us.

Election day in the Netherlands. The polls just closed. Exit polls indicate that Geert Wilders and the anti-immigration Freedom Party have won an upset victory, becoming the largest party in our multi-party system, with over 20% of the votes going their way.

For the longest time, it seemed that the centre-right (including the farmer movement) was going to win. But when the time came, the electorate swerved to the right.

They'll be hard-pressed to ignore Wilders now.

Let’s hope you are correct. And that the Neatherlands does not have the same strange problem that America and the rest of Europe has where Ballot Printer goes ‘brrrrrr’ and suddenly the losing side has a bunch of people voting for them from beyond the grave.

Or the issue Italy and the UK have where the politicians ignore or just fail to follow up at all on their election promises.

They can keep Wilders out, but that would be an obvious betrayal of the voters. The right-wing and centre-right parties have won some 60% of the votes. But a third of that goes to Wilders. As such: the others can't make a coalition without bowing to the left.

That would mean that the two new centre-right parties that advocate for farmers' rights would have to join with those who seek to destroy Dutch farming. The left is led by Frans Timmermans-- the EU 'climate pope' who led the charge against the farming sector.

In other words: if they join with him, those two new parties ruin themselves. They'll be massacred come next election. And their votes will then go to Wilders...

For this reason, neither have ruled out forming a coalition with Wilders.

Last night, the numbers indicated that Wilders would het 35 seats (out of the total 150). The leftists kept saying that the exit polls were wrong. And the exit polls were wrong.

Wilders gets 37 seats.

My friends, I cannot adequately describe the sour looks on the faces of all the left-wing academics I've seen this morning. My own irrepressive cheeriness is apparently hurting them physically, judging by their reactions. This is what a hangover two decades in the making looks like.

As far as coalitions go: the greatest share of the populace wants a right-wing coalition. All polls yield that answer. That means the Freedom Party + the VVD + NSC + BBB.

VVD is the centre-right liberal party that has been the largest party & in charge for the past 13 years. Their leader, Rutte, has left (and probably wants to be NATO's next Secretary-General now). They've moved to the right immediately. Ideologically, this party is hollow. They want power. Getting them on board is a matter of offering them enough key positions, in a "you get the cushy jobs, we get our policy enacted" kind of scheme.

NSC (New Social Contracts) was founded by the most honest Christian Decomcrat, who was stabbed in the back by his own party for exposing government corruption. He got 20 seats, his old party has been reduced to 4. He's mostly centre-right, but with some rather lefty "social" ideas. Critical of mass migration, though. He'll come on board if he can enact most of his key policy ideas (most of which are decent enough).

BBB (BoerBurgerBeweging, "Farmers and Citizens Movement") is the party of the angry farmers. Most of their potential votes went to PVV and NSC instead, but they hold a key role for a prospective coalition. They've said they'll only join if they get to handle the Ministry of Agriculture. Giving them their way on all policies related to farming is the easy way to get them on board with everything else.

(Of course, a coalition without the BBB would be possible, too. But I think NSC and BBB will argue that you take both of them, or get neither. Which may not be a bad thing. It would give a government a very broad majority-- and very broad legitimacy. Saying "Over 60% of the people voted for us" is an easy way to shut up the shrieking opposition.)

How long do you give it before the left wing academics actually get something to complain about?

20, 30, or 80 years from now?
