Friends ended 20 years ago and it started 30 years ago.

That was the guy's biggest role.

Maybe he killed himself because he felt like an irrelevance.
 
He either overdosed or the after effects of his drug use caught up to him and he had a heart attack. We will find out soon enough after the autopsy.

Tard speculation is Tard speculation.

He just released a best selling autobiography about his life like less than a year ago, so I'm doubtful that he suddenly decided to off himself due to irrelevance after decades of having a moderately relevant career.

It's probably due to health reasons from his fifteen or so medical surgeries he had due to his prolonged drug addiction. IIRC he'd been sober for at least a decade or whatever but still, his medical problems were many.

With all the shit he's done over the years, having a heart attack in the hot tub and then drowning due to it is completely plausible.
 
It could be either; though, suffering an aneurism or something could be the likely outcome, if he were still clean.

Also, just because someone does something noteworthy or they achieve a great personal goal doesn't keep the inner-demons at bay. They're always there, gnawing at your brain from the inside out.

I mean, look at Robin Williams. I miss him in films.
 
For those curious, Matthew Perry also voiced 'Benny' the leader of the Chairmen and the Tops Casino in Fallout: New Vegas in what was apparently his only real computer or video game voice role.



Matthew Perry was apparently a huge fan of Fallout 3 and pretty outspoken about it to and which I'm assuming led to the reason why he voiced Benny in Fallout: New Vegas as his own game voice role.

I thought the voice was familiar. Didn't know he played Benny.
